MOTHS Ahhhhhh !! Little ones are sort of ok its the big fat hairy ones with those big black eyes and huge brown wings that batter on the window.Thank god for double glazing.
I know someone who apart from being afraid of killer jumping on to the beach and grabbing you by the leg orca's is also afraid of fluffy sheep, so its just as well she lives where she does.

Clanger 2 and pal were in Japan on a karate trip. Staying in a nice wee ryokan. A big moth flew in. 2 burly Scots dived out the window.

Luckily they didn't meet Mothra.

I don't like heights, Ferrero Rocher or chicken ( dead , raw ). All quite easy to avoid and unlikely to batter at the window so I'm fairly safe

I'm with you there..............last year was particularly bad with some absolute monsters appearing in my front room.

If they get any bigger I'm going to have to arm myself with something more than a rolled up copy of the Herald..................like a flamethrower.

I blame global warming.

I don't mind spiders, but having to dig food bits out of the sink plughole gives me the shudders

Do you know you can buy drain covers to fit over the plughole.
They catch the yuk and you can tip it straight into bin.
We have one on the bath for when taking showers to catch all the hair, eeeew, but only one person seems to clean it!

Too true.

Some of the Clangers and 1 pal are scared of wasps/bees. Coming back og holiday one time we were stuck in traffic on the Mway, boiling hot day and they closed the windows as there were bees nearby. i was then treated to half an hour on ways to kill these insects , including the flamethrower idea.
The down side to my not being afraid is that when I rescued a wasp, from our roman blind last summer it got free and started to sting me, in the oxter where I couldn't reach and none of the kids would help as they were hiding. Baby Dragon was still saying dont kill it mum!!

I think I'm lucky that I don't mind insects - as long as they don't fly/crawl into my ears or up my nose of course

So I end up on eviction duty if folk *insist* they can't watch TV sitting next to the enormous spider or with a bumblebee looking funny at them. Oxter injury is a big price to pay though! I think I've only been stung on the toes.

I'm much more bothered by that hairy plughole cover!

Yes!!
It's a mexican red kneed tarantula. When I bought it, it was the size of a small house spider!!! Grown a bit now though!!!

There's not much in the animal world that would make me turn and run as I love or am fascinated by most creatures............................however it could be ironing ! As you can see in the photograph I always have plenty.I was determined to see the bottom of the basket so decanted it into my non ironing basket and poor Freddie who is beginning to get a bit dottled must have thought he had a new bed

He hadn't a clue why I was laughing at him.

At least sheep are quite big - unlike small, harmless moths. I still feel a wee bit guilty about locking you in a caravan with one though
