Things You Forget To Do

On Wednesday I intended to stay in all morning and catch up on general housework ( I work afternoons ) so there I was all prepared in my sloppy joes when daughter called and asked me to pick up grandson from play school while picking up some shopping for her and taking it to Son in Law who was off work with a gammy knee so couldnt go out.
I gave up on the housework I was SOOOOO enjoying and went into town.
When I got back I didnt have a lot of time before going to work so like every does I multi tasked and popped the bonnet on the car ready to put water in the screen washers, then went and fed the guinea pigs and the rabbit. took the hoover over the carpet filled the dish washer and took the dogs out,had a quick sandwich and a drink of juice and got in the car and started of for work.
Going happily along at about 60 mph listening to Jermey Vine feeling quit pleased that I'd fitted enough into my morning...WHAM..... The bonnet flew up in my face and smashed the windscreen. Luckly I was on a straight bit of road and managed to stop and turn round and get home.
Mr s was home and I took his car to work leaving him with the job of getting a new windscreen fitted .WELL I CANT DO EVERYTHING...That was done today ( Friday )but I'll Need a new bonnet..and all that because I FORGOT TO PUT THE WATER IN THE SCREEN WASHER> Doh !!!

Just thought I'd let Rathbone and Epykat read this on line , coz I was'nt hurt just embarrassed :oops: :oops: :oops:
theres no such thing as bad weather only the wrong clothes

OMG you had a lucky escape.

My worst forgot to do involved Lisa my youngest. i worked in Falkirk at the time and I usually dropped her off at playgroup the three mornings that she attended, at the playgroup at Hope Lane. One morning i was asked to drop her off at my MIL's. however, on early morning autp-pilot I took her along to playgroup, they accepted her without question and off i went. At 12 30 I get a call from MIL wondering where she was? Answer? Still with the unfortunate member of the playgroup staff left behing to look after her. Guess who wasn't flavour of the week that week?

Thing is, why did it take MIL 3 and a half hours to enquire?

As Epykat stated ,its nice to know that we are such a close family that we find out about potentially dangerous problems online with everyone else. :lol: :lol: :lol:

My Mum left my youngest in his buggy outside Crawford's the Bakers one morning. It wasn't until she was sitting outside the Police Station blethering and one of her cronies said 'not got any of the grandchildren with you today then?' that she remembered she had had him when she left the house :lol: . Knowing what a happy, contented baby he wasn't I still think she did it on purpose :? .
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

....which is not the same as parking same baby at the old paddling pool and then walking away in the other direction, is it epy?

What kind of irresponsible parent would do such a thing? :shock:
Anyway, there's a difference between forgetting to do something and doing something deliberately and this thread is about forgetting to do something - you'll get a row for going off topic 8)
