Gone but not forgotten

Post by Rex_Mundi » 14 Sep 2006, 10:22

My friend and confidant dada has gone,
I weep as weeping breaks the hearts of men
When will the voice of reason once return
To bless these pages with fine wit again
Milton, altered

It was young Henry's idea actually, there we were walking with pride and our heads held high along that poo ridden prom we call our own and it came to him in a whim.

What if our favourite poster were to disappear off the face of the earth, who would miss him. :?:

I assured the young whipersnapper that there would be a great public outcry at the loss of such a warmhearted fellow and on the spot bet him a fine cup of tea and a cream scone to be provided at the Dalriada. The bet taken upon a handshake we contrived to find out exactly who would miss him.

I am mistaken. I have failed, woe and woe again is me, to have but so few replies over such a legnthy period has doomed me to failure, yet again.

Poor dada.

Because he posted the following on the Radio Free Porty site:

"Well, just like Moses got to live and see Mount Whatsisface, I managed to be top poster on POL for a bit before finally getting booted off.

It was a fantastic innings, had a good time, met some lovely people.

Adieu"

Having read the other information he has posted there on the background to his expulsion, I, for one, would like an explanation from the moderators as to why they took the action they did.
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.

Indeed, great idea  though don't know how long you'd get him to stay there!

Mondays child......

So, far, far, far from allowing free speech on POL, it would appear that the only free speech allowed is the type with which you agree.

It's now Tuesday and no announcement.

Does that mean you're letting him back, or just that you haven't got your act together?
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.

Welcome Home dear fellow, welcome home :!:

(thanks Rex - a friend indeed)

Thanks to everyone who campaigned for my release.

I will be available for brief questioning, but the real story of my captivity will only be published in the Sunday Terrible. And then the bits I forgot to make up - sorry - forgot, will be published in the only volume of my autobiography "Target Dada : Washed Up On The Beaches Of Intrigue". Depending on sales and other franchising rights, volume 2 will <scrub this bit - looks too much like you're cashing in ... Max>

Rumours that I collaborated with my captors and converted to their bizarre faith - taking on a new "user"name - are unsubstantiated.

I'm looking forward to having a haircut, a shave and a bath. Beach Babe says she is looking forward to me having a haircut, a shave and a bath.

Thankyou to all of you who sent messages of support - although (you know who you are) the individual who suggested contacting Amnesty was taking things too far - they only concern themselves with those who have been silenced for expressing free speech!

During the peace and solitude of the darkness of my captivity <cut this down - this is OTT even by my standards....Max> I took time to pray for the misguided souls of my enemies, that they may truly one day see the light, the wood from the trees, and the elephant in the room.

tyvm, yvw

I had to edit my homecoming speech cos I wrote it whilst in captivity on small pieces of toilet paper I saved from my weekly allowance of 2 sheets. I had wanted to write a longer speech but my evil captors only fed me on Kitcheners guacamole - you can imagine how sordid things got.
