I always look forward to receiving my copy of the Portobello Reporter and avidly read it cover to cover. A few days ago, prior to publication, Brenda Molony was teasing me about an interesting story they were featuring on the front page but wouldn't give me any detail.

"So it's a scoop then?" I asked

"Yes, you could say that" she replied with a mischevious twinkle in her eye.

This morning all was revealed - "The Home of the 99". A scoop indeed!

Bob, I don't have my copy of the reporter yet and would love to see the text of the RFP article.

Can you or some kind soul oblige?

Recent highlights have included film soundtrack music from talented local musician Keith McDougall and ex-Porty resident David Irving reading extracts from his unpublished novel ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‹Å“Kincaid', which explores the relationships between three boys growing up in Portobello and a re-opened murder case.

Broadcasting 24/7, RFP provides a free platform to anyone who wants airtime. Anything goes, whether it's music, poetry or storytelling. As station supremo Matthew Hunter explains,

"If it's within the human audible range, we'll play it."
