Badman on the bus

Jumped on the good 'ole number 26 this morning - in good form I was - even had a cheery 'good morning' for the bus driver! He didn't look too happy - think his shift starts at Eastfield... Anyway, pulled my ticket from the mouth of the machine, scanned the bottom deck and figured I had a better chance of a seat in the upper saloon. As soon as I started to climb the steps I could smell it.

Someone was smoking on the bus...

Not a ned, but a fully grown man - with no excuse.

I deeply despise this - and for all you haters out there - until very recently, I was a smoker myself. Even when I did smoke, I never smoked on the bus. Don't like it one little bit.

Anyway - thought I would share that with you all. I mean is it just me or does this annoy you too...?

Its the whole arrogance thing which bugs me - a smug look and a casual pull on the benson.

Obviously, I had to say something...

Which I did, in my tuffest voice. Needless to say, he got off a few stops later - although he had probably planned that and wasn't in retreat under my vocal bashing. He looked up at me and scowled when he was off the bus though!

Ditto. Like you I used to smoke, but I always took note of no smoking areas....

could have been, now that I think about it. He was an adult though (he had a beard) (not a pirates beard though). Is there a word for a fully grown ned?
