Bat Out of Hell - Meatloaf

I know, I know, a bit juvenile but I still love it and more than one track will be played at my funeral :D

Polish Jazz Vol 42 - Czezlaw Gladkowski & Krzysztof Zgraja

It's also possibly the greatest sleeve artwork of all time - if only I knew how to post a picture.

I'd buy it! For the sleeve alone it'd be worth it.

Is this it?

No. Way.

Can't believe you found that - I've never bothered googling it because I thought there was no point.

Yes, that is indeed it - they look like they've come straight out of Vic and Bob, don't they? For years, I have had a silent tussle with Mrs Priest, where I put PJ Vol 42 at the front of the albums in the living room when she's not in, and she removes it when I'm not in. I reckon she secretly fancies them, but won't admit it to herself.

It sounds like dolphins being harpooned, by the way.

That's exactly who I meant.

I loved Mulligan and O'Hare.

Particularly their tiny man breasts, caused by taking too many female hormones.

This is tough. I can't choose. I shall sleep on it and see if I can decide tomorrow.

I have no vinyl these days, TG. Ali has a wee box of singles but no means to play them.
We'll have to go round to Sandra's and get a go on her new turntable when it arrives.

Vinyl

Ahh ... I get all mushy-eyed!

There's no romance in CDs. And MP3s...? I can't even be certain they'll play on my next computer.

Always a difficult decision when there are so many magic albums around but this one is even 29% off! 8)

What, they cut off 29% of one song - or the whole album?

What does a bit of vinyl with 29% cut off look like - a pie with a slice gone?

If you removed tracks from the outside - fair enough - but if you removed, say, track 2, you'd end up with a 10" record plus an annoying frisbee-thing of black vinyl.

Can't see it selling to a mass-market, although the collectors will lap it up.

I don't recall making any mention of ziemniaki.

I also think it's impossible to pick one favourite album, no matter what Porty's conditions are. I think you need to add the words "this minute" onto the end of the question.

Last night it was Polish Jazz Vol 42. This morning on the bus it veered from Can's Monster Movie to Human League's Dare to Young MC's Stone Cold Rhymin', as different songs came onto the bus tannoy (I got on the no.26 disco bus this morning). And it will change again when I go out for a stroll at lunchtime - aaarrrggghhh!

JPski (& Mass Media).
