As it is such a lovely evening I decided to walk home tonight from the West End. I also decided to push the boat out and take my first walk along the Promenade in something like two and a half years. Saw a few changes, but finally got to see this controversial building at the bottom of Bath Street - what can I say - "striking" comes to mind!
A lovely evening, and a stroll back up Malborough Street. Porty at its very best - apart from the serenity being disrupted by a gang of fifteen or so 13-16 year olds lurking at the bottom of Windsor Place and being generally abusive to anyone who walked past.
Nevertheless, I'll try and make sure it is not another two and a half years until I'm next on the Prom!

I'm getting a strange sense of deja vu.

glad you had a nice walk Jamesie
but I can't believe that you live in Porty and haven't been along the Prom for two and a half years lol

I'm not afraid of storms, for I'm learning how to sail my ship

To be fair I was out of town for nine months of those two and a half years, but still no excuse. If the weather holds up, I'll be back!

How long did it take you?
I presume you like the new building?

Hour and twenty minutes Sandra - used to be able to do it after a night out in about an hour so hopefully I'll get faster! Looked a danger of rain tonight so got the 15 instead, which broke down at Abbeyhill - trying to tell me something!
The new building - I haven't quite decided whether I like it or not!
