Finally - Dada clan are together again

Post by Dadaist » 02 Mar 2005, 22:10

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Phew! For the first time in 3 months, my lovely girls and boy are all where they belong, and we're all under one roof. Furniture, carpets, all in their correct rooms. Baby asleep in room, log on fire, cat resting his old chin on Beach Babe.

All our respective mod cons are wired and plumbed and providing very nice levels of modern convenience.

Still a few bits of DIY, quite a few boxes, and the green thing outside the back door. But they are not quite as urgent as some of the things which happened during the renovations - like when the sewer burst - nor do I expect them to be quite as stressful as the various bouts of illness (human and animal) which tested our temporary sojourn away from our new home.

Sounds idyllic. Happy days in your new home Dadaist family. \:D/

Just ignore the green thing till at least after the clocks change :sunny:

That fire looks the biz. Makes this weather we're having worthwhile, no doubt.

Hope you and the clan are very happy (and healthy) now you're all settled in.

congrats! now I just need to find a way to prevent mrs m from seeing your success story and generally spitting feathers in my direction...

Oh and I was assured myself that boys don't have to bother about the green stuff outside. Apparently that's a girls job and they all love it.

Poll please!!!

Think someone was pulling your leg Mr M. Girls do everything inside the house so boys have to look after the green thing, the car, the wheelie, the bar-be-quing etc. A very fair distribution of chores IMHO

Lovely that you have all got settled again. Nothing better than a home with a fire, a cat and family! - and nothing needing repairing.

If you buy a goat or a sheep, you needn't worry about the green thing outside either - and you'd get nice milk!

Glad you are all together again (and away from the in-laws - though I am sure its been fine staying with them). Your new fire looks well cosy. Will be fab for you all in the summer having your own back green.

There is a new love affair in our house.

Acting as if they were meeting for the first time, Emily and Chester are completely wrapped in each other. They are inseparable. Thankfully he is quite a placid chap because Emily keeps trying to put his head in her mouth.

At the moment, Beach Babe is sat on the couch, Emily is sat on Beach Babe and Chester is cuddled into Emily.

Ah, happy families. And I remember him when he used to be an angry young man!

Did BB have both you and Chester neutered when you moved out to the suburbs?

She is gorgeous - and I love her two wee teeth. Very cute.

Hope she doesn't use them on Chester though.

The love affair continues! Chester and Emily are inseparable these days. But then he is just a saggy old cat, and Emily loves him very much....
