PCATS Burns Supper Sat 29 January
Just a reminder about the Burns Supper. This will not be a stuffy affair but an "alternative" approach to Burns, featuring "Tam O'Porty" (no, not Porty) amongst other things. Tickets are selling well so make sure you get yours. See above for details and remember you can order veggie haggis if you wish

A good time was had by all at the Burns Supper; the music was sweet, the whisky flowed, the repartee was witty, the meal was served without a hitch. All the food was provided by our local traders.
Thanks to all of you who supported the event by attending and grateful thanks to those who helped out in the kitchen and on the bar. Thanks also to our speakers and musicians who helped make the evening so entertaining.
A special mention to the sixth year students from Porty High who served the food with such grace and style - a bunch of stars.

From Maureen Child's most recent newsletter:
Congratulations and many thanks to all involved in organising the Burns Night last night, which I think we all thoroughly enjoyed. It was great to meet up with old friends and meet some interesting new people too. I gather the event made over £2000 for PCATS. As usual in Portobello, the demand for it to become an annual event is great. But it does take a lot of doing, so if we want it again, we have to be prepared to help organise it. And won’t we have seen the Superstore off by then?
