Ive nailed my Karaoke colours to the mast on another thread. Losing My Religion, Hungry Heart and Sitting on the Dock of the Bay are my normal choices.
PoP andI have also visited the home of Scottish Karaoke, The Horseshoe Bar in Glasgow on several occassions. If you haven't been you will be overwhelmed by the talent on stage.

I know we have at least some Karaoke lurkers here; Mr Lizzie does a truly awesome "That's Life" and Mrs Pal of Porty's Pal's Pal has an array of brilliant songs I think "Rose Garden" is her favourite.

Do you Karaoke and if so what do you "do"?

I envy those who can belt it out, but I'm no karaoke queen - believe me (and that's the trouble at these sort of nights,everyone thinks a refusal to take part is just some sort of false modesty) there's no way you'd want me 'singing' into a mike. I was that child at school who was told to mime at the Christmas concert

I've been at that Karaoke and you're right, the performers are usually excellent and very professional

It has to be said however that the clientele upstairs are a bit like extras from "Deliverance"

Its actually upstairs at the Horseshoe and it really is tremendous. The Freddie Mercury guy who won Stars in their Eyes plied his trade there. One of the last times I was there there was a runner up from SITE and a guy who was currently performing in a West End Show. I got up to sing one night, I held my own but it wasn't my finest Karaoke moment. PoP knows all about that one.

though not sure how he will feel about being called "Mr Lizzie"

Methinks you have one to many "Pals" in the above statement, surely it should be Mrs Pal of Porty's Pal, cause knowing Mrs Pal of Porty's Pal's Pal as I do, I know she cannot sing a note

Think the F and L is the only one left and maybe theirs has stopped too? The PoP Inn was the top Krakatoke venue but its gone. It was never the same after the Landlord got murdered.

The Forth View (formerly Bikinis and the Public Toilets) apparently has a 'good' krakatoke session at the weekends. I don't participate myself, but I have it on good authority

I believe both the Galleon and F and L have karaoke on the go some nights - maybe worth a visit if it is is your thing!

I usually do a bit of Spandau Ballet - Gold. I had people come up and shake my hand afterwards and had the whole pub going it was ace.
