So to pick up on Bearcub's theme. I was sitting at my work pC listening to REM and as a result a short time later Christine Agluiera has made you cry.

TP is powerful medicine.

Christina Aguilara makes me weep too.

Still, at least it proves even more that she ain't no Britney Spears...
I have a feeling that ecm may have been joking when she said 'enjoyed', but I'm sure she will confirm that herself.

Bearcub, I don't know what your problem with Britney Spears is, but for me she has consistently proven herself to be one of the greatest pop singers the world has known. Just go and listen to Toxic if you need proof. You don't work with The Neptunes for 10 years if you're cack, you know. She nails it every time, and without any of that ego-driven warbly shite that her contemporaries come out with.

I just wish that she could sort out her problems and be a little happier in her personal life. Bless you, Britney.

And damn you, Bearcub, with your nasty little mind!

Yes, silly me, I was going for irony.

Christina is one of the Whitney/Mariah school who believe that screaming and bawling their way through several octaves on each and every song they perform proves them to be a good singer.
I believe that Christina is just a shouty tramp and no more than that.

I sincerely hope that Britney can return to her previous form one day.
I concur with Mr. Hatstand that Toxic is a great song.
She also looked bloody great in that air-hostess outfit she wore for the video.

But, hey ho, one man's meat and all that.....................

Ah, one of my favourite tunes of all time:

"Your eyes are almost dead
Can't get out of bed
And you can't sleep

You're sitting down to dress
And you're a mess
You look in the mirror

You look in your eyes
Say you realize

Everybody goes
Leaving those who fall behind
Everybody goes
As far as they can,
They don't just care.

They stood on the stairs
Laughing at your errors
Your mother's dead
She said, "Don't be afraid."

Your mother's dead
You're on your own
She's in her bed

Everybody goes
Leaving those who fall behind
Everybody goes
As far as they can
They don't just care
You're a wasted face
You're a sad-eyed lie
You're a holocaust."

It's a chirpy little number isn't it?

Ha ha ha ha

I love that Third Album. The earlier pop stuff I can take or leave.
The bleaker the better lyrically, I think.
