Many thanks Sandra for organising talkporty's 'first' night out :D
Strangely enough I feel fine today. Had a really successful park clean up this morning and enjoyed the fresh air and Spring sunshine. Next stop is the allotment :flower:

Marya, you are sounding very chirpy!

I spend the afternoon dozing in bed and am now on the Heinz Tomato Soup which seems to be doing the trick. Feeling dreadful :(

Oh dear Sandra. Lots of sympathy being sent your way. Maybe my hangover is yet to kick in? Think it is just such a lovely day it is hard to feel bad. Homer has the BBQ going and is just opening a bottle of red. Cue rain!

Had a bit of 'sore right eye syndrome' - my equivalent of a hangover :? . Mr E pretty chirpy amazingly! Spent most of the day in the front garden (just for you Ali - thought you might be getting bored looking in the window :D ). Great night as usual. Good to meet Izzie. I'm sure she'll verify that we didn't eat her and she got home safely so might encourage other newbies to come along next time :P
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

I'm not aware of any Mod deleting your post Foxy, which only leaves the possibility that someone with access to your pc logged in as you and edited your post :?

For your info your last post and the one you say wasn't written by you are from the same IP address.

...that doesn't help at all. I did post about the wee small hours, and its gone, although it has been quoted. I honestly did not post the one about too much info... I was home alone and totally sober and why would I say "too much info" in reponse to my own post :? Plus I hardly ever use those "razz" smileys...Poppy????????

Or that a Mod mistakingly pressed the 'edit' button as they were replying to your post instead of the 'quote' one and ended up posting as you?! Poopy??

Friday night was great it took all but a few minutes before I knew everyone. The only real suprise was Bearcub but he might want to tell you all

The drink flowed and the food was great.

Oh, dear, that must be a big wrench for you.

But I'm glad you had a good time at the Parly. Hope it helped.

... but what's this about bearcub... my mind is boggling away and might explode if one of you doesn't 'fess up soon

I would like to thank Sandra for a fab night, and I would also like to thank my lovely escort home for keeping me safe, especially whenever I seemed in danger of stepping into a road, when he felt duty bound to shout warnings at me in a very paternal fashion... :?

The thing that worried me was how Izzie and Mr Scoop kept going to the toilet together. And when Mr and Mrs bearcub - or is that Mr and Mrs Sandra? - went off to the loo together and were gone for a very long time... :?:

But what was nice was how every time Sandra disappeared, she returned to throw teabags at me. Yay. :D

I had one glass of wine, I'll have you know! In fact, as my escort and myself left the rest of them falling over outside parly, and he told them not to drink too much, or something, they shouted at him that I'd got to him, and he'd better get me home immediately.

Anyway, I said "stepping"; he seemed to have a bit of a problem with my way of crossing roads i.e. not at a green man...

The gents' loos were out of order so I'm telling you, people kept going in pairs. Well, four of them, anyway. I was shocked, being a demure young lady myself.

And I came home with four teabags. I have witnesses.

But I have been working hard...with Russion dolls today. Maybe you're right and I should go for a lie-down.

Thanks again Sandra for organising a great night out. I understand why you never made it round to me for your black pudding. You are a lush of the highest order.
