Don't you wear hair product, Ivy??

I will defend Wee Ray to the death! I've been right so far too! :P

My point is that he is an evil man-childe.

Sorry to have to spell it out for you, but in general, evil man-children should not be trusted - or voted for on tv shows.

Consider yourself warned.

Yes, I do use hair 'product' but not evil50'sthrobackhairgrease...

Google : "thro-back" / "throback" : 7,580

Google : "throw-back" / "throwback" : 4,500,000

It's against forum rules to correct the English of another poster.

I would put it to you though that in the context of pointing out the gut-wrenching cringe-inducing horror that is Ray, it is important to not force English itself to suffer the same torture that the poison dwarf and his ilk have subjected "singing" to. imho.

You realise of course, that you're all extremely delusional and suffering from a similar psychosis.

I recommend you all start looking at Ray's pic and seeing how much it's been doctored!

Remember ... Cleopas is always right! This is the mantra you are all to recite every hour on the hour until Ray wins the X-Factor. :D

Imagine my disgust when I came across this headline

Bookies fear Ray could win X Factor

Cleopas

Post by Cleopas » 16 Dec 2006, 10:01

Well, we've seen upsets before ... it's entirely possible.

Leona is the favourite because she's been touted since the live shows began as the first female winner.

Remember Gareth Gates?? No-one thought Will Young could beat him ... and he did! He's been enjoying a very successful career ever since.

Who thought Michelle McManus would win?? I certainly didn't ... I don't like nasally singers. And where is she now?? Polishing off her fourth doughnut at the breakfast table I shouldn't wonder!

So yeah ... Leona IS the hot favourite ... but I still think the talent of Ray might just be enough to swing it in his favour.

Then again ... the public could be voting just to spite the prediction. Wouldn't be the first time. You could NEVER accuse the public of having good taste to begin with! Otherwise the MacKaraoke Bros would've been OUT in Week One!

We'll see ... :D

I heard a recording of 'Ray' singing the working mens club classic 'You'll Never Walk Alone' on the radio yesterday.

Utterly hilarious. Yet utterly monstrous. There's more passion/soul/talent/sex/danger/excitement - and all the other things that pop music should be about - in a dried up dog t urd than there is in this 55 year old club singer transplanted into a 16 year old's body. In fact I'd rather eat dried up dog t urd than listen to him or Leona or any of these 'youths' again.

That anybody under the age of 107 should want to compete in this programme which takes music back to pre-Elvis days of neutered facile mor pap fills me with absolute horror. Is this what we fought the punk rock wars for?

Bring back Pat Boone - you might as well.

And fuck off while you're at it.

What kind of a world is it that we live in when Michael sodding Parkinson is the nation's chief taste former?

What kind of a world is it that we live in when a young "artist's" ambition is to perform in front of the fucking queen??

We have gone back to the early 50s.

Somebody needs to drop a bomb on the X-Factor studio tonight. Take them all out in one go.

edit: nasty word (self-moderating)

A few examples off the top of my head of magnificent manufactured pop, the genius of which Cowell et al could not even dream of achieving:

Phil Spector's Wall Of Sound
The Brill Building, '58-'73
Rihanna
Toxic by Britney Spears - song of the century so far
The Monkees
Joe Meek
Tamla Motown
Girls Aloud (I know, I know)
Trojan Records
Sugababes

All jampacked with the requisite ingredients for a big yummy slice of pop cake.

So why do Cowell and his crones reduce it to cabaret?

There's something sinister going on.

Don't forget, Simon Cowell was the man who inflicted Robson And Jerome on us.

He needs to be stopped.

edit: crumbs, how could i have forgotten Britney?

Right, no more ranting from me. I've got it out of my system and I feel a lot better now.

Actually I'm just bitter cos The MacDonald Brothers didn't get through. They're brilliant, they are.

Those two words just don't belong in the same sentence. And no, if he wins, it's nothing to do with "talent" but more to do with a (voting) audience demographic heavily weighted towards the teen and pre-teen girl who thinks that an evil man-childe that looks about the same age as them is "to die for".

You can all say wot you like ... I don't care. :P My speed redial will be set on Ray's voting number ... as are all the girls I work with ... and all the gay guys in the clubs and pubs I've been spotted in!

Nelson's rant was expected ... but I have one question for our illustrious Mr Hatstand ... who wrote:
And *** off while you're at it.
And how would you like us to *** off, Mr Hatstand??? :D

ps
Ray to win!!!

That wasn't directed at you or anyone else here, Cleo. Stop being so self centred.

Sorry you didn't get it, Nelson ... I wasn't being self-centred ... I was setting us all up for one of the best gags from The Life of Brian.

Haven't you ever seen it?

How's the cold?

I've had a bad evening so there. Himph.

Ok if you MUST know. Was pondering a wee wander up to the Plough to look upon the inebriated POlers when i got a call to say Clanger4 had fallen down some steps. So soberly into car on off up town. Paramedic saw him before I got there, thought nothing broken but best checked out. Clanger 2 had chummed me up so lifted wee bro into car and of to minor injuries unit at Western ( with baby dragon and her pal in tow) . Lovely people there. He was assessed, X rayed , given advice, given meds and away quicker than it took me to drive there. And only £1 to park.

Actually Baby dragon saw some of the X factory tonight. In the waiting room. As if folk weren't ill enough

Poor wee Clanger 4. You tell him we're all asking after him!

As for X-Factor ... Leona won, but not surprised. The final song was a hit for the American Pop Idol winner. It was chick-power song. Ray never had a chance!

FIX FIX FIX!!!

I'm sure you could offer Ray a shoulder to cry on. He'll be vulnerable and weak now, exactly the moment to pounce

Clanger 4 happy now he's figured out 48 hours resting the d*mm leg means no school on Monday

Pounce?? POUNCE?? Is THAT what you think of me??? How very dare you! ... I'll have you know I'm a Rohypnol man!!!

Oh dear, poor Clanger 4 and poor old you having to trail away up town. At least no serious harm done.

Well that's the X-Factor all over and justice was done (sorry Cleopas  ) Mr TG mumped and grumped all through it and tried to get my attention by telling me all these amazing facts about Scotland in his little book

Watched a wee bit of it. What was that wifey with the scarf like? You get some strange folk on there. It must have been staged all along to bring Louis back, don't you think?
