Guest have gone off in a taxi pleasantly inebriated. So let's see where we're at ...

What's left ...

6. What the boys are in France
8. Love doing sums
10. Young lads out in the sun
12. A ventriloquist calls his puppet this to many laughs ... Newquay
20. She’s the mother of us all
25. Small MP3 player battery gives the name of this place
27. Butterfly swimmers seem to do this a lot

Clues;
6. It's a gag from 'Allo, 'Allo said by an embarassed Rene to Lt Gruber.
8. Think like a Greek
10. American place of French extraction, musical instrument too!
12. Puppet sounds like a euphemism for "it"!
20. Think Irish.
25. Comment ... you're really skirting round this blindly. Look to Africa.
27. Looking at these swimmers gives you this Antipodean name.

Jeez ... I'm GIVING it away ....

Rapunzell, you could be right.

It is NOT an ancient Greek name, like Pythagoras or Euclid ... you're on the wrong track there. When I wrote "think Greek", I didn't mean draw a name out of a hat. Think more about the subject matter and your possible affection for it.

Do I gotta draw a picture?

As before I'll give the answers before this evening if no-one gets them.

Scores so far ...
Soupdragon ....... 11
Bob .................... 4
Arachnid ............. 3
Kipling ................ 3
Teddy Girl ........... 1
Black Mamba ....... 1
Rapunzell ............ Still looking for her thinking cap.
Sandra ............... Not into it yet.
Porty .................. In the Sports Section.
Marya ................. Your turn will come one day.
Dadaist ............... Busy sparring with Porty and Gilo.
Gilo .................... Taking new member Nelson Hatstand through a rebirthing ceremony.
Epykat, Poppy, Bellybabe, Foxy, Izzie, Pal Of Porty, Bearcub and Rathbone were probably all out on the pull and/or bevvying last night!

These are the overall scores taken from the Stats Board ...
1st division
Bob................45
Arachnid...........34
Teddygirl........28
Foxy..............23
Gilo.................22

2nd Division
Izzie................17
Kipling .............15
Soup Dragon..........12
Dadaist.............11
Rapunzell...........11
Cleopas.............10

3rd division
Jackson Priest ...9
Black Mamba......9
Novastar.............7
Marya............7
Ali.................7
Poppy............5
Ifstar.............4
Denise...........3
MoM ..............3
Impossiblevoices....2
Gedge............1
CatzVP............1
Skeely.............1
Plug.................1
Bellybabe..........1

Now you see what you have to do??? Catching up with Bob is gonna be hard ... but he never finishes the quizzes ... so it IS possible ... Soupdragon will enter the 1st division and Mamba will certainly move up to division two. Where are the rest of you? All to play for yet. :)

Further clues.

6. Rene ('Allo, 'Allo) said he and his brother (actually himself) came from there. It was side-splittingly funny!!!  People used to ask if Ronald Reagan was referring to his wife or son!!!

8. Say this in the language of the Hellenes. Translate .....

10. What girls (or gay guys) would say ... and what lads would be like on a summer's day under the sun.

12. Roger de Flippin Courcey ... there ... I just gave it away!!!

20. Not a personal name. It's a play on words. Think more how Irish n Scots talk about the female parent ... the mother of the kids.

25. Soupdragon got SOOOOO close with this by writing it in full on the page without thinking of description when ordering said item. An African capital.

27. You look at swimmers in the pool. their nappers go up and down ... like a cork on the sea. Also used on sewing machines.

I honestly didn't think it was this hard. Now they're dead easy. :(

That's Latin ... don't think of it as another language. It's the common tongue ...

Another word for mother .... like a bairn would say it ... and not yours or mine, but all together ...

It's in Northern Ireland ...
