For the first time ever I thought I would do my own avatar...... so, not only have I not managed to do so but I have also managed to lose my picture from my photo album where it was stored. So if anyone finds it floating around out there, please send it back.

My technical advisor is away to London for a few days so no help from those quarters I'm afraid.

Mine is the character 'Black Mamba' from the movie 'Kill Bill' I just love those movies. I changed from the black mamba snake because it made poor Marya all jittery. The reason for the name is that I have a pet snake and wanted a snakey name, and Mr. BM thought it up (I'm also learning to use the samurai sword, so it seemed right).

Um. You sure about that? B*****d if I'm renting Kill Bill if it's a bunch of donkeys and straw and that.

My current is from the Michael Douglas film "The Game". Random sigs are from "Revenge Of The Sith" - the pirated Russian version that I got passed under my desk.

I don't know if it's me needing to hit refresh or reload or something, but your avatar doesn't look like anything from Kill Bill. It looks like some sort of thematic religious representation.

Better. Uma licking a sword is so much more festive than a bunch of landed gentry sucking up to someone they found off a horoscope.

How do you get the wee piccies in the bottom of your posting? I've been trying to put one there and can't seem to get it to work.

oops it seems to have worked now but how do I get rid of the writing?

Just ignore that question I've done it now. It's only on this post though and not on any others, should that happen?

Very sad. He was one of my faves when I was a kid........along with Jimmy Clitheroe.

I guess his boomerang won't ever come back now.

I had no idea Charlie Drake had passed away. He was a great favourite in my house when I was growing up. My Dad used to sing his theme tune to The Worker
...
I gets up every mornin' when the clock strikes eight
I'm always punctual, never never late
With a nice cup of tea, a little round of toast
The Sporting Life and the Winning Post.
I gets all nice and cozy, then I toddles off to work
I do the best I can
Cos I'm only a-doin' what a bloke should do
Cos I'm only a workin' man!

Very sad. Another comic giant taken from us!
