No....Bad Santa!
So, BC, did you have a good night then? To be clear, I'm only asking about the part before you got home.

How was "that" place in Musselburgh?
Was that meant to read ...no bad Santa

I thought it was Epykat who was going to "that" place and BC was going to "that other" place, maybe not even in Musselburgh :?

I suspect "that place" and "that other place" are "the same place" but maybe there's "another place".

or something. :?

BC hasn't replied yet.
I'm worried.
I can picture him now, still lashed to the bed, blindfolded and with a feather stuck where the sun don't shine and Sandra off out for a day's shopping as revenge for him giving her a hard time for being worse for wear the other night.

Didn't do any pole dancing but I did get into the final of the 'Pass the Cucumber' competition and I can tell you it's definitely length that counts  .

While we wait patiently for the report on the MP extravaganza, I have to say I was really impressed with the Dome last night. There were only two parties there, keeping it the perfect size, and the food was great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere really good. Had a grand time. =D>
The only thing not so good was the DJ, who, when asked if we could have some Christmas music on while we ate our dinner (instead of Stars on 45 (I kid you not) and a LOT of Neil Diamond), replied "Oh, no, people are sick of Christmas music." When it was pointed out to him we were not sick of it and were after all there for a Christmas party, he grudgingly succumbed, and so just as they served our steaming plates of tender turkey, succulent sirloin or whatever, he started playing....Band Aid. Snide so and so. And one of his few discernible comments while we were dancing was that we looked like we were in training to be lapdancers. What a way to win over your audience.

Bellybabe...or should that be Lapbabe

Er...let's see. POL curry at Bonoful; night out with the agency I work for at The Lot; bellydance party in Musselburgh, but only in the room we dance in; toddler group night out, for which i retain honorary status, or something  , last night at The Dome. Have cancelled for tonight's thing at someone's house, because I haven't really been in the party spirit. Night off tomorrow, concert on thursday with other half (probably the first time we've been out together in all of December!), Peter Pan with the kids on Friday afternoon... It's only five really, and I'm skipping one of them...

Not bad for someone without any paid employment whatsoever, huh? :D

I saw Porty unloading "gear" from the back of a van yesterday and into his shop.

I think it was sports socks and lighters he bulk bought in Newcastle?

coffee

advocaat and lemonade

Apart from the kebab which doesn't count, my last Xmas meal was yesterday in Urban Angel and it was brill. Some sort of veggie burger thingy in a flat bread with loads of salad in yummy dressing washed down beautifully with two bottles of Organic Chardonnay. Only real problem was that some of the 2nd year Art class had made us hats to wear specially, but they had stuck a cotton wool beard on mine. This would have been okay had the 'mouth' area actually been anywhere near my mouth - it was actually up at my eyes - made eating slightly difficult but I soldiered on

Obviously, since you lived near the bottom of Marlborough Street, you WILL have a cherry?

I haven't touched cocktail cherries since I made myself sick of them when I worked in Jenners. Red and Green ones.

We used to do all sorts of things with the food as catering staff - even eating it on occasion - but my attempts at making cocktails with the syrup from the cherries has put me off the things for the forseeable. It's been 10 years now.

The dry/glace ones are fine - it's the syrupy ones you get with ice creams I won't touch.

I remember when I worked in a bar in Glasgow we used to while the quiet afternoons away (when the manager was out) by trying drinks we hadn't tried before in a coffee cup - class or what.

I also worked in a hotel in Bournmouth and the Bar Manager taught us to make cocktails on the job and then .... drink them. Also if we worked a wedding/conference we could help ourselves to whatever booze we wanted :o
