Good, we now have two TV chefs. I'm going to volunteer as well, though someone else will obviously have to hold the camera, and I have a fourth celebrity TV chef to be confirmed at a later date.
Bearcub, Jackson - I'll be in touch soon, so you'd best look out the Mr Muscle and start cleaning your hob!

You can always clean your kettle so it gleams as you pour the hot water into the culinary, nutritious pot noodle...

The 'featured artist' on this site is a guy who featured on my 'Out of the Bedroom' playlist on RFP.

Hasn't it been quiet on the Portobelly Telly front recently? Well, I can tell you that it has been exceedingly busy behind the scenes and we are planning a launch party - details coming very soon - to which you are all invited.
But first we need some help. Can anyone assist with the following items?
- A LARGE projector screen
Paper tablecloths
Red Carpet
Help with setting up and clearing up afterwards

I've just been put in touch with someone who has a wealth of video tape of local events over the last couple of decades, including probably the only footage of the fire at St Phillips Church. I'm really excited about this and hopeful that we can persuade the gentleman concerned to allow us to add this material to Portobelly Telly.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Spoke to Jack today. It may take a few weeks before you see the results but I think we have just stumbled upon a treasure trove of film.
Meanwhile, I'm sure the people who have provided the content thus far for Portobelly Telly would love to get some feedback on their televisual offerings.
A feedback page has already been set up for Mike Windle's 'Garagesbands' film so please take the time to add your comments, favourable or otherwise. I think this is a great idea and I'm hoping that we can set up feedback pages for all the films.
And remember, you provide the content. Lights, camera, action!

Check our latest offering - BrainSStorm. Preferably one at a time, and not on the same day.
Actually, we just doubled our bandwidth to cope with the increased traffic so no problems.
More Portobelly Telly content coming soon.

Hey, I just noticed this. What's with that hairstyle you are sporting Jacko? I am reminded of Derek Nimmo in 'Oh Brother!'

I thought it might be this guy?
Or maybe it's JP himself, in costume and wig from his days as a thespian.

Recent additions to our programming include a commentary to the Paddling Pool film from the little girl who grew up to be Fiona Crosbie and my own edited footage from Saturday's Victorian Walk event.
Coming soon - I've just finished editing recently re-discovered footage from the campaign to save/re-open Porty Swimming Baths and I'm now working on a short documentary on the Figgate Burn. Ideas for future projects include pop videos with local bands and there is still a lot of historical film out there as well.
Portobelly Telly is always looking for help, ideas and your own video contributions.

Latest news from Portobelly Telly
This weekend's events will all be covered for Portobelly Telly. 'The Supreme Show' to be added tomorrow. Next up is Mark Scott's film about
Walking With Wheels, a guide to the Scottish countryside for wheelchair users.
Other work in progress - Mark and I are currently working on a filmed version of the heritage trail around Portobello, with commentary by John Stewart. I'm still on the trail of more archive footage and there are lots more ideas for future projects.
Still waiting for your contributions.

Great stuff! I think I'll need to get my hands on a copy of that now

Do you know the woman who wrote the book? She might be full of useful information..

I don't know her personally but I know someone who does. I'll pm you contact details for her within the next few days. She lives in Fife but one of the walks featured is in Portobello and Mark filmed an interview with her when she was promoting the book in Portobello Library.

'The Supreme Show', a documentary by local filmmaker Mark Scott, is now available to view at Portobelly Telly. Held annually at the NEC in Birmingham, this is the Crufts of the cat world - a truly aristocatic occasion. There is drama, there is tension, there is a room full of people who are bonkers. Well that's my opinion. Judge for yourself.

Coming soon!
Local film maker and Portobelly Telly contributor, Graham Kitchener is currently putting the finishing touches to a number of items of local interest, including coverage of the Victorian Parade and Community Garden opening, local jazz 'n' blues combo Rosy Blue in action and film of the recent Porty Party.
We hope to have the new material available in time for the Festival of Learning, where we will be showcasing Portobelly Telly.

Available now!
Graham Kitchener has produced an excellent video montage, showcasing the talents of the Rosy Blue band. Warning - this is a big file so be prepared for a few minutes buffering. I'm sure you will agree it's well worth the wait.

Today's online televisual feast is GK's film of the recent POD Porty Party. Five minutes of highlights from what was arguably Portobello's event of the year. Spot yourself in the crowd?
