Lit the first fire of the year last night.

We've got piles of fuel left over from last years mild winter - peat, logs, coal and kindling have all been in the cupboard under the stairs for a year!

The colours of the lines of rock on those hills are charming. I bet the local geologists have a field day!

Re Wangi photos of Wyoming. I was in touch with my cousin (ex Potobello lass) who's livng in Texas at the moment and suggested they look at the photos as I knew her hubby had been in Wyoming in the snow. Here's part of her reply..
C tells me that the red things in the Wyoming picture are the bags that the helicopter drops and the crew picks them up and places them in position. So itâ€™s the â€œdrop zoneâ€
