Roddy Woomble - My secret is my silence
I never liked anything by that rock band he's in (can't remember the name) but this solo effort of his is very good indeed.

A re-recording of "At the drop of a hat" by Flanders and Swann.
It was on the Monday morning the gasman came to call
My gastap wouldn't turn, I wasn't getting gas at all
He pulled up all the skirting board to try and find the mains
and I had to call a carpenter to put them back again
Oh there's always work for the working man to do
pom pom pom pom da da da da
It was on the Tuesday morning the carpenter came around...
I will happily post more lyrics if anyone doesn't know this wonderful song...

Went to see
Rocco Deluca and the Burden last night at King Tut's in Glasgow. The guy can certainly play guitar. Great atmosphere. Only downside was sharing the late train back from Glasgow with a load of drunken Scottish football fans and equally drunken Robbie Williams fans. It was all kilts and pink stetsons

I hope you have listened to The View's single : Wasted Little DJ's. I heard it once and it had approx the same effect as when I first heard "You can Call me Al". It is awesome.
Sounds like a mixture between the Skids, Morrissey and The Jam. If Bob Jefferson doesn't like it I will eat my hat.

I was looking forward to hearing this until you mentioned Morrissey. You've spoiled it now.

Don't apologise for Morrissey. If Ali's suggesting what I think he's suggesting then Ali's simply made a mistake. I like the song.

Just plain Fountains of Wayne. There isn't really another group out there called
The Fountains of Wayne is there? How weird would that be

Listening a lot to the Kill Bill soundtracks at the moment. I like all sorts of music from opera to metal. It's nice to have a wide range to suit whatever mood I'm in.
Also been listening to Knickleback recently
