hot toddy, See if Mr Soupys whiskey can ease this cough.

Thanks to Bellybabe who suggested Valerian tea ages ago. my mum was finding it hard to get to sleep after the shock of her sisters death so I took some of the tea out. It helped a bit in that she got over to sleep but I think the great healer, time, has got to do some work there

Everyone's home, the Quality Street are open, the noise level is high. Time for a "Water of Leith"

It's made along the same lines as a tequlia sunrise.
Orange juice in a glass ( or pineapple, grapefruit etc) to which you add tequila if you want or voddie or just the OJ
A measure of grenadine poured down the side, then carefully pour a measure of Blavod on the top.
Gives a lovely 3 colour effect. Admire, pretty =D> , then stir.
The resulting brown mixture is the Water of Leith.
Garnish with mini shopping trollies, flotsam as you like

Voddie and coke.

Been "designated driver" past two days so making up for it now.
Got to have something to sweat out when I head to Turkish Baths with Sis!

Caught Mr Soupy gargling with whisky earlier today. Says it's for his man flu ( of course my fault as I had cold ) HE says the virus has a lipid outer layer that the alcohol dissolves therefore letting your natural immune system free to attack said virus.
Aye says I eyeing up he rolling pin

It never ceases to amaze and disappoint me how you "girls" try to downplay the manflu (and its more dangerous mutation - the burdflu).

I'm still suffering from the after effects of my last struggle with that evil virus and it fair spoiled my xmas I can tell you.

Mind you it did mean that I couldn't taste the full "flavour" of the sprouts so it wasn't all bad.

Me, I'm drinking Covonia cough mixture - straight from the bottle.

*cough*

I got a bottle of the creme caramel variety, its nice, but prefer the original.

What type of ginger beer, Sandra?

Got to be D&G for me, although Fentimans is good too (but horribly expensive).

Just tried my first Pernod today. It's rather like absinthe but instead of turning a cloudy green it truned a cloudy yellow colour. Tasted good though. Just about to havr a nice cup of coffee for now.

Sorry Ali. As Nelson Hatstand said, bf means boyfreind, not "best freind". This girl is already taken. But that's a story for another day. Are you really a grandad??

I'm just finishing off a double strength Latte Macchiato (of which there will be several of today!) getting ready for a day of cleaning, cooking and preparation for tonight and tomorrow's invasion, since it's my turn to do the hosting for the family party this year.
