Dada's Xmas Booze Guarantee

If anyone gets booze over Xmas they don't like - give it to me and I guarantee I'll drink it for you.

I'm especially interested in people who are given a bottle of Bailey's "hint of" (mint or creme caramel) and don't like it. I'll take the pain and stress out of that situation.

Beer and whisky are good too - don't be lumbered with these unwanted gifts.

Cheers!

I'm drinking chamomile and lime tea. I've not touched a drop of alcohol in nine days. Got to be a record. :(
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

Yes - the creme caramel one. It's well worth it. To tell you the truth though, I'd not had the original for so long that I'm not sure about comparison to the original - all I know is that it was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of mint in drinks so if I was going to shell out I'd get the same again.

I've tasted the mint one and it was quite nice, not too minty. If I had to choose though, I would stick to the original. In general I don't like caramel anythings so probably will steer clear of that one.

Something I've not had since last Xmas, Brandy.
Well I was feeding the cake and thought there's going to be some left over and I was brought up to waste not want not.
At least I think there's some excess, how do you tell when a rich fruit cake has had enough?

You can include the water in tea/coffe intake according to my sis. She's one of these my body is a temple folks , so's mine, have you seen the Acropolis?
When we were on holiday in Greece she ate sparingly with the 5 portions of fruit and veg, swam every morning and afternoon, had no alcohol, (ok maybe a winery trip but I got her share there) and she's like a muscular bean pole. if she didn't smoke ( which I never have, smug look) I'd hate her.

PS 2 litres of water is 2 kilogrammes in weight

I think I hate her already!

But no ... according to my nutritionist, the water in tea/coffee (neither of which I drink) or any kind of juice does NOT count. It has to be pure. unadulterated water ... like that's possible???

My body is also a temple ...St Peter's basilica!!! :(

Ah, sis also attended a nutritionist but In Bristol. Will check with her in the am re tea/ coffee and water intake. She does drink a lot of coffee whereas I have to give up after 2 cups and switch to decaff or I go red faced and jittery. Actually dont like decaff so drink mint tea, used to love cola but that's limited now also.

St Peter's, Strong, proud, dominating the Roman skyline. Very attractive to Catholics.

Tetley. The flavour flooded out.

Had a lovely Amaretto in a restaurant on Sat evening - it was sloshing about in some really smooth, rounded ice meaning there were no sharp bits hitting your mouth when you took a sip - and it was followed by banana blancmange with banana rum and banana slices.

There was an episode of QI a couple of weeks ago that mentioned that that was pure "poppycock", ie. tea/coffee/juice/(even)alcohol all count as they all contain water to one degree or another........I prefer that outlook. :D

I've read that it doesn't matter what kind of liquid it is (minus alcohol) that tea and coffee add up to your daily water intake.

E mailed sis and her reply was -Yes I do still drink lots of water about 1.5 litres...and there are suggestions now that tea and coffee can be included..to a certain extent.

So she's drinking all that water and still drinks masses of coffee! And she takes her vitamin pills and milk thistle tablets, muesli with yogurt for brekkie, fresh fruit and veg. Think she must have got the virtuous gene, certainly passed me by.
