That's REAL weather - not like the mediocre drizzly stuff we get here :P (by the way, welcome Mrs Catz!)
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

Photograph taken in broad daylight, in Princes Street Gardens. Is this a person or a dummy? I was spooked, and didn't stick around to find out.
I don't believe in Beatles.

Fermentation : CO2 bubbles from fermenting yeast organisms in a batch of blackberry wine.

Image

This is probably the last of the summer wine : 6lb of wild brambles went into this - it should make 5 or 6 bottles :

Yeah but that photo was taken at a very restricted angle. You should see the rest of the room - just ask bob or dc. Or BB, now that I come to think of it - I'm sure she was in here.

It's a hard job! Managed to get some up from the honeymoon, but many more to work through... The proofs from the photographer at the wedding were posted today, so hopefully we'll see them tomorrow...

8) Did you really have all that scenery to yourselves? It looks blissful. *sigh*

Just added up some "us" ones from the honeymoon: http://www.pbase.com/wangi/honeymoon - it wasn't just me, camera and landscapes/buildings ;)

Like this one from the flight back:

What a great aerial picture of the Palace Wangi.... so incredibly clear. Now if I had attempted a shot like that I would no doubt have snapped another passenger's ear.

And the honeymoon pictures are fab. New Zealand looks wonderful, definitely want to go there once the kids no longer want to go on holiday with me

My most recent Portobello-themed photos:

Image

Taken from my living room window. And yes, that really is how it looked - no Photoshop jiggery-pokery.

Waiting for a bus. These dark mornings are just going to get worse and worse.

This macabre sight was spotted in a small village called Greenhaugh on our recent holiday to Kielder. I rather nervously enquired in the local hostelry as to what manner of Wicker Man-esque cult was responsible for this foul deed.

Can you guess what's going on?

Assuming the poor little critters are moles, you induced a mass suicide by sitting by a hole and telling them of your quest for the perfect cumberland sausage.

Excellent answers and all undoubtedly true. They are indeed moles and the local mole catcher is paid £5 per mole. Tradition demands, apparently, that he displays the death toll in this fashion. It serves a double purpose -firstly as a ready-reckoner to work out his payment (11 x £5 = a damn good night out in the Hollybush Inn) and secondly as a warning to other moles.

Of course the whole thing is a scam, since the mole catcher is secretly breeding an endless supply of more moles to catch. The whole rural economy would collapse without these 'country ways'.
