Foxy - I am afraid that neither word is listed. I wish I had this dictionary before - I am sure I let my wife win a game because when she played 'quo' I agreed it was a word.

Thanks PoP, I was the culprit on this occasion but I didn't get away with it unfortunately

I am a great scrabble fan and have games nights at my friends house.
Unfortunately we always have a few bottles of Smirnoff Ice which leads to not very tuneful singing and not very good words on the board. Great fun though.
Sicker might disagree
New Years day is a family gathering and usually the Trivial Pursuit comes out after dinner. I still have the original questions which are a bit dated now. Should really invest in some new ones.

We got BOP IT too...it's brilliant. Highest score 53...not me I hasten to add. I'm still trying to figure out what the guy says

PoP I am sick of telling you, b***** s always try that sort of stuff to beat you. The main Scrabble difference between us is: you let them get away with it.
Quo is not a word and neither is Tweak.!!

Risk is my board game of choice as well (But only if I get Kamchatka of course!)
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.

When the doorbell rings, Penny barks uncontrolably but when Teddygirl and her companions singalong starts the bark is replaced by dirgeful yowling and I retire to my room closing the door firmly behind me. (leaving the poor dog to her fate.)

I bought Cluedo and Monopoly for my nephews this Christmas, Cluedo is proving v. popular They've tweaked the Monopoly to make it more complicated no-one could be bothered to read the instructions to work it out but it's nice to know that the old games still can hold their appeal against playstations and gameboys.
I bought Jenga to have in my house for them to play with and that went down well too. I now have to buy another one as a birthday present!

I catch up with everyone on POL! As now .......
I have never played Trivial Pursuit, and have
always wanted to ..... I'm rubbish at Scrabble. I have not yet got to the bottom of this thread, but has anyone suggested a POL board-game evening? I have a couple at home, which I never get to play ...........
I have been involed in some cut-throat Ludo games - especially after drink has been taken! Usually followed by a backwards version called Odul .........

I'm a backgammon man myself. I took a board into work recently and I've taught a few of my colleagues to play it, so that's how I spend most of my lunchtimes now. Connect 4 is my other fave.

I agree. I really enjoy playing it. Always reminds of holidaying in the Med because many bars have it and you can relax in the sun with a beer and while the hours away.

I bought Othello from a charity shop 2 weeks ago for £1.25 - It was on 1/2 price sale from £1.50!

Sounds like you got ripped off to me DG - half of £1.50 is 75p!
But I like Othello. It's easier than draughts. Mind you the only game I ever win is Frustration.

Sounds a good purchase but I wouldn't recommend you buy a calculator from there.

Still wouldn't buy a calculator from them - it then should have cost £1.25!
