Very cool (freezing, in fact!) pics, Catz. Thank you.

It's been pretty mild here today but there's still time for the temperature to drop far enough.

What ever happened to the reasonably heavy snows we used to get when I was wee. It was very rare not to get out on the sledge of a winter and run riot down the "quarter mile" as we knew it then - a nice, broad slope in the Queen's Park.
I guess it's yet another manifestation of global warming.

CatzVP, going by your pictures I think, as snow goes, you really can have too much of a good thing :wink:

Is THAT all?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! We're at 80+p a litre, more than twice that, and that's without any snow! Although I have seen on the weather forecasts that a white Christmas is v much on the cards for us this year, for a change :D

BTW, CAtzVP, whereabout in Toronto do you live? I had relatives that lived there a while ago and visited when I was all of 12 yrs old.

They stayed in Oakville, and I had a great time while there - remember going up the CN tower (as probably all visitors to Toronto do!) but most of all remember the green double-decker trains that we got into Toronto city-centre from Oakville, do they still have them? (i was easily impressed when 12 :wink: )

I moved here in the Autumn of 2000
We are living just now in a Toronto suburb called Brampton, and hopefully will be moving to Orangeville (about 45 minutes North) in the Spring/Summer....... Oakville and Burlington are only 1/2 hour on the 403 highway from here, and we are also about 20 minutes from downtown Toronto (pretty much the same timewise as Portobello to Princess street....Parking is just as bad!!!) Which is why I mostly take the TTC downtown to Union Station ( TTC = The double decker trains!!!! ) yep they are still here :lol:

As for the CN Tower here are a few views ( my head office is 5 minutes walk from the tower, or just opposite Union Station)

And as for the petrol when I came it was 48 cents a litre (22p) it was nice to fill up the tank and not just stick a ten quids worth in it!! but like everywhere else its slowly going up!!!! :roll:

Catz - You have brought back a seriously scary moment for me. I too have stood on the CN glass floor and got so freaked I immediately took the elevator back down to ground level. It was the nothingness beneath me that I could not handle.

I strangely lost all fear of falling, drowning, death etc.... when I said "I do". :lol: :lol: :lol: ... which reminds me..... Does anyone know what the fifth anniversary is?? I have got five days to find out!! :shock:

I looked up this image on Satellite imaging not Christmasy I know but still pretty cool.. it covers Kings Road roundabout (bus station) to Musselburgh harbour and up to The Fort Mall, and why the change in sea colour at Bellfield Street??? Something we dont know!!! :shock:

Catx, my Hallmark :shock: book of dates says that Wood is 'traditional', but silverware is 'Modern'.

Yeah, Happy Christmas Catz and a very happy anniversary when it comes.

Hmmm, what would a woman prefer her man to get? Silver or wood!!!
I suppose it'll depend how much champange you get through.

Because of the... will it be wood or silver... I've decided to take the wife out to an exclusive (or rather damned expensive for what your getting) restaurant for our anniversary where you sit at your table in front of an open wood burning fire, eating with silverware, where I will give her a silver locket with our pics in it....(it was going to be a quicky drive through at the golden arches, while sitting in front of the heater in the car, eating with fingers, and then give her a honey menthol locket for her cold)....

Well at least I can say its been 3 happy, wonderful, blissful years of marriage....:wink:

The trouble is, we got married in 1999!!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

New weather record for this year....Windchill brought us down to -41 last night.... and Mrs Catz wanted to go shopping in it.......nice!
