At least you got people "singing". Down here all we got on the regional shots was amateur figure skating from a rink in Norwich. Presumably none of the 'stars' were prepared to travel out into the wilds of East Anglia. It made the Coronation Street Oliver look like the height of sophistication

It's that time of year again.

Viewers with Telewest can at least be spared - if they wish - the local regional bits if they watch on channel 851 - "BBC1 Audio Desc" - which shows the London version of BBC1 which may have higher - or at least different - production values than the car crash which passes for the Scottish bit of this annual fixture.

I'm not sure if I will watch any of it. I saw a trailer which "featured" Jackie Bird "having fun" it is unpudseybearable.
