I believe it is closed. I'm looking forward to the re-incarnation.

What happened to a nostalgic evening in Whighams? Last time I went there I met a journalist from the Hexham Courant, a Spaniard, my wife and my business Partner![/quote]

Pop, you need to get work on your quoting technique. I know you are a newbie so I don't want to come down to hard.

Is that how one spells Whigams? I enjoyed going there and I did go to the Old P last night, I thnk the olympic smoking championships were being held there. It was a team event and the crowd from the Sociall Insecurity office seemed to be winning.

BB, is the quiz night still running at the Old Pier on Monday nights? Noticed while walking the dog this morning that all signs advertising it have been taking out of the window

Ooh, I don't know. It would certainly make my meeting tomorrow night easier if it's been stopped, but it was kind of fun. I'll let you know after tomorrow night, Bearcub!

TGIF, as that means tomorrow is Saturday!

Anyone going to see Queenie open our new House? I went by again today and I still think it looks grand.

I've declined my invite as I have an important happening at Hampden to attend. I shall be in strict training tonight with some Scotmid lager. And of course you may bump into me early tomorrow as I take my dawn parade, assuming I can't persuade the eldest magnoliette to stay in her pit. :sunny:

I'm sick of her already this week - what is it with all the police motorbike outriders flanking the shutting down the junctions many minutes before her car twaddles along?

The London Rd / Elm Row junction the other day (that might have been something to do with the Yanks) and Rodney St / Canonmills / Broughton Rd this afternoon. I got so argh'd off with the delay i ended up shouting to police to "do f.....ing proper work"!

I am listening to the sound of our taxes and scarce fossil fuel being burnt up by helicopters right now. I reckon the opening will cost more than the building!

They went up towards Royal Terrace, and I presume the American Consulate.

I had a demo for Myst once and I could not figure it out at all. I haven't played a game for Years. Duke Nukem 3D was the last and SuperMario was the only other.

I LOVED SupermarioWorld and played it constantly on my snes many moons ago. I'd love to get my hands on a machine and that game again.
I'd probably pick them up on E-Bay if I could be bothered.

:drunken: or :happy7: or :hippy2: or :pukeright:

I thought I would post now while I still have the chance!

Tomorrow is a 'long looked forward to' (well, I put in for it on Monday!) day off.

First off is a long lie then off to the Old Pier for lunch and a couple of bottles of Magners cider :drunken: then it should be back home to do some jobs around the house but :-$ hopefully the Magners will have done the trick and Sandra will agree to put the jobs off til 'another day'

Well, they are predicting a bad winter ..........

Whatever I plan for the weekend will almost certainly get re-arranged! At the moment, it's shopping, doing the wash, doing the housework, and TRYING to unpack some more of my goods and chattels after my move ...........

........ and that was two and a half months ago, now! How are the Magnolias getting on with their unpacking?

I went away for it - on a professional development weekend. No, I'm deadly serious, actually. [-X
I had a whole two nights in Birnam, sharing a house with the other group members and the leaders, and also sharing several bottles of wine and some damned fine food.
Yay! :occasion5:

And then i got home to a quiet and peaceful house, as other half couldn't bear the thought of looking after bairns alone and ran away to take them to grandfather, and they won't be home until tomorrow. This is therefore the first night I have spent entirely alone in this house (well, excepting animals) ever. And I'm enjoying the peace more than I though possible.

So my plan for the rest of the weekend is to slip into something a little more comfortable, put on some good music, open a good bottle of wine, and chill. Especially in the knowledge that if youngest offspring wakes up in the night, I can't hear him as he's in Inverness! :sleepy4:

Porty and I (and Bellybabe) seem to be sorted.

Anyone else doing anything as interesting as us?
