Well if you want someone to be seen at the Scottish Parliament wearing one, I would not bother sending it to Tommy Sheridan.

Although that nice orange tan would match the logo colours perfectly.

i'd prefer one with the "portobello online" logo, but the text replaced by "Spladoooosh" - an in-joke if you like...

Apart from the URL (once we get round to registering porty.org.uk) I had thought we could maybe add a strapline. Any suggestions? I was thinking along the lines of:

'where the sun always shines', or
'virtual sunshine 24/7'

Maybe we should have a poll. Let's have a few suggestions and I'll set it up. Remember it's to promote the website, not just the forum.

We now have a total of 18 orders, so just 3 more required. The new domain name is registered though not active yet. Three more orders - come on people, let's wrap this up so we can place the order!

So if you're feeling a little :( then what you need is a :tshirt: to make you instantly 8) and .:0.:

Remember, we are buying to order so there won't be any spare ones left in case you change your mind.

We are planning to open a new gallery with photos of people wearing their Portobello Online T-shirts on holiday. Where will you be wearing yours? Hope to have mine in time for our trip to Kielder in October.

Speaking of which, did anyone else notice the sign in the cobblers offering to repair 'souls'? Unfortunately, they removed it before I got a chance to get a photo. Well, it's a competitive business and I think the local churches have probably got it wrapped up. They still have another sign though, which dispenses with those tricky apostrophes (not that any are actually required) by substituting them with commas. Thus, the plural of watch becomes not 'watches', nor 'watche's' but 'watche,s'. Ingenious!

Have you seen the one in the newsagent at the top of Bellfield Street?
" Pot Noddles, buy one get one free"! :D

But we digress. Three T-shirts for sale:

This one :tshirt: (not actual size)

this one :tshirt: (for illustration purposes only)

and this one :tshirt: (may contain nuts) (no, hang on, that's the Portobello Online shorts)

Of course some of you who have already placed an order might wish to consider buying a second, so that you will have one to wear while the other is in the wash.

We now have the 21 orders for T-shirts that we require. The offer remains open until 9pm Sunday and we will then place the order.

It's a shame I couldn't have got mine by this Thursday, as I could then have worn it to Buckingham Palace, although I could not guarantee you coverage on national tv  - I'm too old to start cavorting on balconies

No, no. Nothing so elevated. It's just my 81 year old Mama's birthday, and my sister and I are taking her for a look round the Palace, before it closes for the winter. But I would have worn my t-shirt - honest!
Marya wrote:Will we have to curtsey when we spladoosh you?

Last chance to get your 'Portobello Online' T-shirt before we place the order tomorrow. Will advise when they are ready for collection from the Library, hopefully before the end of the week. Price £15 and there are no freebies, not even for me. We will be letting you know exactly how much proift we make and how that money is spent.

Hi Bob.

I think there's a real security issue here for those who value their cyber anonymity.

Isn't there a danger of mass spladooshing if people go in and ask for 'their' t-shirts?

What are the collection arrangements for those of us who live hundreds and hundreds of miles away from the library? Do I send Epykat a power of attorney and a secret password, or will the library just hand over my
t-shirt to her on demand?

I am Lobby Ludd and I claim my porty-online t-shirt.

Rathbone, ex-pats can have their T-shirts delivered p&p free. Just send a cheque for £15 payable to Portobello Community Council and address it to Portobello Online T-shirt Offer, c/o Portobello Library, Rosefield Avenue, Portobello, Edinburgh, EH15 1AU with your return address. Or alternatively, make an arrangement with Epykat.

Otherwise, to obtain your T-shirt you just need to approach a member of the library staff, give them your cheque (sorry, no cash) and let them know what size you ordered.

OOh, hope so - am off up north in a week and going to Skye via Mallaig. If I had my t-shirt I could get a photie of me wearing it at Morar like Marya all those years ago. .

Order was placed this morning, but because I'm fussy about the quality of the T-shirt and even fussier about everything else it is going to take 'around 8 days' - so looks like Poppy may have to pose topless as it were.

The T-shirts have arrived! I will get them along to the Library tomorrow afternoon and you can pick them up anytime after that.

Just ask at the counter, hand over your cheque for £15 made payable to Portobello Community Council and tick the sheet to indicate that you have received the correct size.

I'm wearing mine right now!

I shall collect mine tomorrow and might even wear it tomorrow night when I'll be in Glasgow.

I doubt I'd be brave enough to wear it on the High Street here!

I think I might have been a bit squiffy when I ordered it - or at least that's my excuse!

I'm sure they'll be lovely though.
