I have a lovely Caithness paperweight sitting on my computer desk which reminds me of a moon landscape, which got me thinking about how small we all are in the universe, which made me think of little ants, which reminded me of the ant I swiped and squashed a few days ago, which made me pure burst into scalding tears. Now my face feels a wee bit hot, my nose is snotty and my eyes are really swollen and bloodshot and I'm scared to leave the room in case I frighten the kids  I may need counselling. Can anyone recommend a good computer based couselling site?

I got a bit upset last night as I ate my fishcakes. I started to think about all the poor animals I had eaten in my lifetime. Not only that, I enjoyed it  . I thought about all their families in fields and streams all over the world wondering what had happened to Dad. As if that wasn't bad enough, I was sure I heard my sprout squeal as I put it in the steamer with the condemned potatoes. This has made me realise that I can't possibily eat anything ever again. I feel more at peace now that I've made this decision and would like you all to join me to make the world a better place.

Epykat, I'd like you to eat something as it will make your tummy happy.

You could be a macrobiotic fruitarian - this means that you can feast on windfall fruit (so you don't upset the trees by picking anything) and vegetables in season.

Nature needs your poos in order to grow these things in the first place, and also for you to eat but not digest the seeds inside the fruit and veg.

Don't cook anything and you'll preserve more nutrients and vitamins, and do your poos in a field somewhere - and you'll be in harmony with your tummy and the universe.

I have been trying not to cook anything for many years now D. Now that I have your permission to get rid of my cooker, would anyone like to make something useful out of it?

Oh dear I'm worrying now. There's not too many field around here.
Perhaps we could use one of the parks instead. I hear Brighton park is nice and clean!

We should all be happy and at one with nature, including when it calls.

Ahem.

I've offered you my card on several occasions, Foxy... It sounds like you need some support in your anxiety. Feel free to contact me; I won't judge you.

I feel better already thanks. I wiped my nose, with a nice soft pink tissue, put on some more mascara and lippy, told myself not to be such a silly billy and that combined with all the lovely caring good wishes from my virtual friends, seems to have done the trick. I'm so happy

Yes it is isn't it.
I thought that
1. The soft tiny cuddly bunny
and
2 the soft cuddly blanket
would help those of a nervouse disposition to calm down a little.
(especially Foxy and Nelson)

I was waiting in the traffic when a big scary motor bike roared up, with a big scary guy in leathers, but he had tigger ears and tail on his helmet so I felt all warm and smiley

I'm quite upset and shaken by that Soupy. It made me think of all those poor lobsters that are dropped alive into boiling water (I'm told that's why they're red).

I'm so sorry, BM, I hadn't thought of that.
I've never eaten a lobster and never will.
I had just wanted to express that I was redder than normal.
Perhaps the lobster were embarrassed , like I am now, living with 2 vegetarians I should know better.

I'm waving my crystal in your direction and sending cyber hugs

That's okay Soupy. I've had a couple of glasses of wine with my dinner and have recovered now.
I've never eaten lobster either.
Cyber hugs were really comforting thank-you.

I haven't eaten anything for days now. Still too guilt ridden. Do you think teabags feel pain?

Ooh Poppy you've quite shaken me with the cruel retort you just gave Epykat. I think I'll have to go and lie down in a darkened room for a while now :shaking: :pale: 8-[
