Didn't have my thinking hat on!
What did we do without Wikipedia?

£sd or "LSD", for Librae, Solidi, Denarii (pounds, shillings, pence), the popular name for the pre-decimal currencies of the UK and other countries

Yeuch, bri nylon sheets still give me nightmares  as for the candy stripe flannelette sheets, my Mum still puts them on my bed at her house. I love them :D I won't have anything else on my bed winter or summer(self coloured ones though ! ) they're like a comfort blanket to me.

We also had the fibreglass curtains when I was young......................until my hamster pulled them into it's cage one night and chewed them, not a pretty sight, and not a happy Mummy

Sure the fibreglass curtains would be considered a fire hazard now, as well as a hamster hazard!
We also found some Camay soap, remember that?
Also found Long Line bras (still in the packet), though they're coming back into fashion.

Would have saved you the flannelette sheets TG but the were really a bit ( a bit?? ) passed their best. Beyond using as dusters

I had a pal at school whose mum used bri nylon sheets all the time. She had a spider phobia and the sheets on her unshaven legs made her feel like the arachnids were all over her ( we were young and shaving legs was oh so daring...)

The gas mask although a WW2 one was bought as a joke as Pa in law was a great fan of the Grumblweeds

For 70s nostalgia who remembers listening to Radio Luxemberg? Fab 208

I use to love them too. Striped sheets reminded me of streamers and vice-versa. How simple life seemed.

LOM is not on tonight...giving way to the football.

Correction, for those of us who have BBC4 its on at 10 o'clock.

BBC Drama certainly likes messing with our heads: this and "The Reichenbach Falls". Even "Dr Who"!

Bum, I missed the Reichenback Falls! Trying to think of BBC1 progs now... Hotel Babylon promised much but was far too tame. TalkPorty could offer to become their guest scriptwriters. 8)

Pity you missed The RF - it was bizarre, but very good! The same as LoM in that it dealt with reality v nae real in a witty and at times thought-provoking way.
