Suppose thermal underwear at bit of a turnoff.
Must be my age I was in 3 layers, big coat and the car heater on and was watching these youngsters going past oblivious to the cold.
We run a game in our house at New Year to see who can spot the 1st hungover, tshirt wearing person going along the Prom. Extra points for seen with bottle in hand, peeing in public etc.
We also have a list to tick off for spottingt he 1st jogger ( excluding the fun run), 1st kayak, 1st tandem, 1st unicyclist, etc.

Yesterday I went out for the messages in the late morning. I was extraordinarily lazy and nipped out in the car. I new it was cold and there was a freezing wind blowing down the high street but I thought I'd only be out of the car for a minute and just went out in a jumper and no coat.
Whilst out I was rushing from shop to shop until I bumped into PoP. He was wearing a jumper too and no coat. He commented on it and then eased into conversation.
We started talking about the James Bond film. I started to freeze. PoP looked comfortable, at ease and oblivious to the howling icey wind. I didn't want to be impolite and say I was cold, and it was very nice to catch up, we chatted and chatted. My upper half felt awful and my head began to hurt. PoP was relaxed an seemed as snug as a bug. We said our goodbyes, he walked back to his office, I rushed home to a hot bath.
I'm always going to put a hat and coat on in future.

Is it the blonde Bond...if it is he does look impressive...gilo wrote:Indeed it isn't me, though it's the closest body double I could find.Poppy wrote:If only........![]()

to some hunky dude on a sunny beach wearing skimpy swimming trunks. Not to be rude - but I don't think it was actually Gilo himself!!
At work last week some of us were discussing the new Bond film. Someone said how there had been a reversal of the famous 'emerging from the sea in a skimpy bathing suit' scene and that it was Mr Bond who provided the excitement this time round.
'Oh,' said one of the younger members of staff, 'you mean that Halle Berry scene?'
I felt my age. Don't think the lass had even heard of Ursula Andress

Wasn't fussed about seeing the film but quite fancy it now.

It's definitely no longer shirt weather! It's sodding BALTIC out there. I had to go and buy a nice soft wooly jumper today!!
(Ahem! When I say wooly jumper ... I did not mean in the Aberdonian manner. I don't have a pair of wellies.)
Anyway, no more shivering for me. I got a scarf and gloves too!
I wish I was in Australia!
Anywhere that's hotter than here!
