You'd have the same potential problem with any individual named as the contact with nominet and they do require a named individual, not just an organisation.

Fair enough. I was concerned that now we are taking money off third parties,for a year's service, in the name of the community council , we should ensure that we can deliver that service.

The hosting will be paid by the POL subcommittee, I think bob's paid upfront and is reimbursed, no individuals are claiming ownership of the site or parts thereof, and I won't claim any rights to anything I contribute.
