What?? :o
No more blazing rows?? No more washing the dirty laundry in public??
No more 20 page threads masquerading as "debates"?? I remember the days when your moral indignation could flatten all-comers. You used to be a contender!!!
You've been bought off my friend. Well and truly neutered. Dada's emasculation is complete.
You're inside the tent p*ssing out, as it were, just where the other mods want you!!!
Very disappointing.
happy yet

If that is a question then I stand by my earlier analysis of your journey from agitator with a conscience to moderators' bitch.

Like I said, opera and fat lady. Nobody has put any of the accusations (or allegations) that I made about RBOS under any scrutiny yet but I just wondered if you got the rammy you were after.

As far as I am concerned, the order of importance of the debate can be done in reverse geographical order - that is that what RBOS perpetrate overseas bothers me much more than having their logo on our site, which bothers me much more than governance of this website.

You can sling anything you like at me personally, it's all good. I know exactly where I stand on RBOS, right down to the millimetre, friend. I kid you not. Brecht was spot on - if you want to rob people, it's much easier to set yourself up as a bank than rob a bank.

If you would like to measure my passion for arguing about POL governance - imagine the sound of a paper bag being flicked gently. Now comes my passion for arguing about what the likes of RBOS do. Imagine the sound of a decent-sized hammer being smashed down on a wooden table, just enough to make your ears ring slightly.

To me, this was and is to do with RBOS. Happy yet?

So are we still going?

Should we get insurance?

Someone call Norwich Union and get them to quote us happy.

The Best Man at my wedding, kindly reminded me that the date of the PoL social event is my 10th Wedding Anniversary.

I hadn't actually forgotten - I just did not get round to putting 2 and 2 together and realise that I cannot be in two places at once. So I am afraid that I cannot attend the forthcoming social event as I will otherwise be detained staring romantically into my wife's blue eyes! 8)

She thinks we are all computer nerds and saddos - so even though I do not know what we are doing yet, I am going to make sure we make it to anniversary 11 by NOT suggesting the PoL event!

We are actually fairly normal despite our ramblings, spats, moaning, teasing, etc etc! So please, newbies, gird your loins and come along. You can always run away.......................

Granty, at the last Dalriada night another "newbie" came along and after a few drinks admitted that he was worried we'd all be "computer nerds" but was pleasantly surprised we were all (comparatively :D ) "normal"

So. my advice is "get yourself along there!", there'll be plenty of people there....................and you can always make a sharp exit from a crowd if needs be

Hi Granty, I went along to the get together at Sizzlers a few months ago and I didn't know anybody...a few glasses of wine later I felt like one of the in crowd 8)

The only thing is judging by the recent age poll, some (make that many) of us are likely to be old enough to be yer mother

It certainly was 'The Temple' Arachnid. Was it your Mum and Dad that got you started on your crisp habit then ?

Have reserved the large table by the fire in Dalriada for meeting up on Friday from 7pm. That means all you newbies can check us out before jumping in, if need be! :D

I would like to set up a webcam and online blog for the social, so that people can connect their browsers to an interactive page so they can see for themselves that we aren't geeks.

Because the webcam and sound feed will be low quality, it'll be necessary for everyone to wear a POL t-shirt and a large sticker with their username, and to shout loudly when they speak.

I wouldn't worry too much Granty, we're probably just as scared of you as you are of us  About a year ago, bar the odd one or two, none of us knew each other and we all turned up at a night out. Look where it got us - eh Marya

PS, please come along if you can you'd be very welcome
