I'm trying to download it and have been stuck on 50 seconds remaining for about the last 5 minutes.

I've mirrored it to Portobello Online too:

http://porty.org.uk/forum_links/anniversary.exe
Click the link and Download to Desktop

once downloaded...

Click anniversary.exe file on desktop to decompress to Desktop

Open the PoL Anniversary Folder

Click 'PoL.exe' to Play

Once your playing you can hit "Esc" to escape the game

Well the download took an age for me... Wouldn't imagine it takes many connections to max out the 256Kbps upload...

Thanks.

Is Bob/Catz going to do a unique thread for this? People not following the pre-release discussion might miss out.

Try again, or try from the link wangi put in. It's likely that I goofed up your download when I rebooted my machine. Sorry, sir.

Catz,

You're a star. This must have taken an age to put together.

It's absolutely brilliant! I don't know how you did it but it looks great and your articles are a hoot. Can't get past the asteroids at Level 3 cos I keep cracking up at Marya's wee face on my gun.

Well worth the wait.

How many levels are there? Do you always have to go back to the very beginning each time?

My adrenalin levels are going through the roof here!!

Yes... Im afraid you do go back to the start when you die..... Couldn't make it too easy!! Glad you Enjoy it...

And there is 10 sub levels (4 Main Levels) Level 4 being pretty hard... Next game (4 mighty levels) might hit the shelves for Halloween or Xmas!!

VG, CatzVP, but for once I feel that it's just as well that there is a profanity filter....... I keep pressing with wrong finger as for some reason I feel that 'fire' should be the right hand. Dunno why! :? [could be that picture of ecm's ugly mug?]

Anyway, it'll keep me out of mischief while El P(Rtd) [and Mr Lizzie] are freezing  their bits off in NZ! :D

OMG, Catz, how addictive is that?! It took us forever to get pasty the first level though... and then we (well, not me - still level one  ) died straight away on two. But the noise persuaded eldest offspring to come out of his room for a peek, pretending the shotting was giving him a headache...

I see several fights over who's using the computers coming...

Thank you, honey, it's fab!

I got to level 4 but it was all over too quickly.

I think that's me peaked for tonight. I might as well call it a night and try again in the morning.

Well done Catz, fab game but unfortunately I'm c..p at these type of games. It has taken me half the evening just to master how to start it. I have got through level one though so there might be some hope

I will keep trying :D

I had an alcohol free evening, honest! . Perhaps if I try the game when I've had a few, I'd do a bit better.

I'm having to fight for time on the PC with D just now as he has this Rollercoaster Tycoon game on the go.
He designs theme parks, rides, fireworks, animals etc.

Then blows them all up.

Catz, I tried the game on a friend's relatively new machine this morning and it ran very slowly as well, stopping altogether at points. Any idea what the problem might be? My friend is running XP.

Yeah, that's what's happening with me too. Not all the time though. :?

I'm XP too.
