Having a large amount of debt does not make one bankrupt, particularly in the US. Furthermore, bankruptcy in the US is not stigmatised like it is here. So, beat it.

IOW, he spends more than he earns and has debts of Ã‚Â£229m but assets of 'only' Ã‚Â£68m.
