He got out hospital on Saturday a couple of days early. I got a huge surprise when my door bell rang yesterday, I opened the door and there he was. He is looking great but I think he tires easily, expect to see him hobbling back to work in a couple of weeks. He may even post here before that. :D

Great news!

Let's hope he sees/feels a huge improvement as a result of the op.

Good to hear that Porty. Glad he's out and about - that does seem very quick.

I'm touched. Thanks ever so much for your wishes of support.

I am now feeling great and on the road to recovery. The doctors, nurses and care teams of the NHS have delivered yet again. There were one or two aspects of my particular case which were tricky but these have been overcome due to the skill and expertise of true professionals.

Can't say I would recommend the food tho!

Cheers 8)

Good to see you back in circulation and enjoying a hearty lunch at Sizzlers (you need something to take away the taste of that nasty hospital fod). Remember where to dispose of your old exercise sheet!

Well the last time I saw Poppy she was on soft drinks only, and still off the fags.
I'm worried about that woman, next thing we know she'll be swapping recipes with Bob for organic lentil and brown rice stews. :?

Now that would really be a cause for concern!!

P.S. Ecm, I admit my post suggests that I was actually in Sizzlers myself, but I was only walking past when I saw the wonderful sight of Porty and his Pal [and other riff raff whom I did not recognise] scoffing and slurping away.

Poppy's very dear to me.
We've known each other a very long time but if she keeps this clean living crap up for much longer I'm gonna disown her.
