the original is the one next to the black wooden flower box

if he is not having stand-offs with the local cats he is actively scrapping with them

heaven knows what he would be getting up to if we hadn't had his little pom-poms done.

Why does he choose to sit on the fence like that? It looks so uncomfortable.

All that space, all that flat roofing around him and he chooses to balance up there with a fence up his butt.

Cats are strange creatures indeed.

Because they :cat: can - and dogs :dog: can't!!

Thus they feel superior [because, of course, they are!!].

I'm confused (for a change). If Oscar's the one sitting on the grass beside the flower box who's the orange one :?

*coughs*

Ahem, Foxy, Dadaperson meant the original grey cat - meaning the original of all the ones he copied. The ginger one IS Oscar!!

no, this is Oscar :

the "original" is the only real other cat - it's one of the neighbours'

Oscar is enacting a bit of jerrymandering, or even regime change

Why the blue collar? In his frog photies, it's a white one! Very smart, though - no offence intended.

Too right, vulpine one. Wish I had time to learn how to do this sort of thing, but too busy with daddy dear and his blasted PC [and he's 84!!].

Because he is the cat who regularly loses collars. He lost the blue one tonight actually. The collars have a safety release so the little darlings can't choke themselves when they get caught.

He has lost that blue collar twice before, once our neighbours from two doors down handed it in to us - meaning they knew he was ours from the name on the collar and had (probably) found it in their house.

He has already been fighting in next door's house - now he has probably been to say hullo two doors down, we've seen him halfway down the street (5 houses the other way) and also along an adjoining road.

Nae wonder he was a stray. Little tyke that he is.

I've given up on that type of collar Dadaist. Marco gets his hind paw under it and off it comes in one swift move. He's now firmly buckled into an elasticated one
Fair point. Will confer with the boss.

Lovely image though Marya and Marco is a nice Italian sounding name. Is the collar studded by any chance

Dan and I have been whizzing about Porty on our scooters recently. On Friday we went a bit further afield and had a great scoot around the Queen's Park and along the Innocent Railway path.

We found this poor critter in the tunnel. I think he must have been squished by a ghost train or something.

Best of luck sir, very nice portfolio of entries.

I hope the BBC can look through the fishbowl of their judgement and see the clouds of your talent.

We saw most of that series on Tv and enjoyed it very much. That Tom Ang's a bit of a character, isn't he?

He reminds me of David Carradine back in his Kung Fu days.

Glad to see you have entered the competition. I had noticed it was on and was wondering whether you would go for it. My votes are are now cast and I hope your talent gets recognised. 8)

Wangi - I sheltered from the rain in one of those Loch Ard boathouses in 1987 on a Youth Hostelling trip. Weird. The owner came and found us and instead of giving us a row, gave us a lift in to Aberfoyle!

Where were you on your way to/from? I love the Trossachs.

Thanks everyone!

I was planning to enter some photos for a while, but just couldn't find the time - a sleepless night helped out... Bananas keep you awake.

That was a fortnight ago, mrstb wangi's mum had a special birthday - staying at Forest Hills, and a nice meal at the Roman Camp in Callender. Was only an afternoon & the next morning - would like to spend more time around there walking and cycling.
