Having a nightmare year so far at work too. Won't get any better til 3 March. Trying to stay off the midweek bev but eight vodkas last night kind of put an end to that
Can see my favourite time of the week - Friday at 5.10 - in the distance though...

I move to a much quieter department at work and won't find myself home at half eleven on a Friday night, knackered after the week which has just passed

Forgot to add, about to open the first bottle of Peroni of the evening.
Going to a 30th birthday party with a bottle of Stolichnaya which is currently sitting in the freezer, along with another four Peroni to whet my appetite first
And there may be one or two beverages to be had tomorrow afternoon as well

1/2 of litre carafe of Darios red

I was about to get worried about you, Jamesie, having checked the forum this morning, before noon, and seen that today you've drunk all of that already. But then I realised you meant yesterday.
Still...if ever you need to talk I can give you my card...

All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

Will bear that in mind BB - had planned on having a dry Mon-Thu but have been invited to a function tonight where there will be wine and nibbles - its tough this dry midweek malarkey!

A cautionary tale though Sandra - woke up this morning with what felt like having bitten my own lip but has now swollen up big style, along with a really sore left side of my neck and very very lethargic - about to go to bed and the doc first time in the morning. I've heard of people getting similar symptoms from a "dirty glass" in pubs; hopefully I'll be feeling a bit better tomorrow

In my Nurofen induced haze I thought I was Sandra - although in the past two hours my cheek has ballooned and pretty certain I'm carrying an abcess - attempting emergency doc appointment now!

I read that exactly as written - that you thought you were Sandra.
Must be good stuff, that Nurofen...
Seriously though, hope you get it seen to and feel better soon, Jamesie.

Last night I was drinking Lemsip and whisky with a pinch of brown sugar. For medicinal purposes I might add. I went to bed quite merry and I slept like a baby. My cold seems much better today.
Foxy recommended vodka, but we didn't have any.
