Great pictures of Regent Street Lane. We were just talking about this lane last night with Epykat.

would be great if the did something with this space - like a cafe/bar though the nearby residents probably wouldn't like it much.

Nice imaged Wangi

What exactly is the lane used for nowadays?

I seem to remember someone fixing cars there when I was young.

Not used for anything much as far as i can see! Ideal development op :) The one off the top of Bath St is choc-a-block with garages (and clamped cars).

I'm led to believe the cars are actually for sale and are only clamped to prevent theft!

I like the way that the Victorian building opposite is literally left in the shadow of the modern building and overwhelmed by it. Says it all really.

The paddling pool shot tells it own story of years of neglect and vandalism. Hopefully it won't look like that for very much longer.

And then a walk 17 hours later got the sunset:

Snails, yuk, for the past two summer's my garden has been infested with these creatures. Just the other day, I filled the watering can - only to dicover the reason for the poor flow of water - was due to the snails jammed in the spout!

I dislike sprinkling harmful repellants onto the plant's etc., as my dog and neighbours cats could be harmed, but the old remedy's are proving
useless - We are talking mass invastion here
Apart from calling in the UN - anyone have any suggestion, and before someone suggests the obvious - no, I don't like escargot!

Leave out little containers of beer (not lager) they love it. You will catch dozens - guaranteed or your money back! 8)

I've just learned to live with them. They're really lovely when you look at them closely. Just grow things that they don't like eating. I put my hostas in pots (although some snails and slugs can apparently abseil) and they don't like hairy leaved things. They seem to like living in my laburnum tree - there are hundreds up there! Mr E on the other hand is having heart failure at what the little blighters are doing on his allotment
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!
