Happy (belated) Birthday, Mr Lizzie
And Happy Retirement! How exciting - at last lots of time to do the things you've always wanted to do.

Now that you're going to have all that time on your hands you'll need to register with POL yourself. You'll be able to make us green with envy with tales of your travelling. Are you going to visit our "virtual twin" in NZ, I wonder?
Marya Mr Lizzie has actually been registered for a while with POL
Perhaps now he'll find time to post
Yes a vist To Portobello in NZ by Mr Lizzie& Mr Poppy, is a possibility I'm sure when they go off on their travels in a couple of months time!
PS Mr Lizzie says thanks to everyone for their good wishes

How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you are?

As far as I'm aware, they had wanted to visit Dunedin & Portobello, but it's too far and would take too much time out of their itinerary ... which is a shame

(but probably not for Portobello, NZ

).

Dear

(fancy having your own emoticon!)
Going to have a chippie from North Berwick at my dad's in East Linton - a treat for my dad on my birthday [something wrong there, surely

].
See ya tomorrow night, Lizzie

(see, you've got your own emoticon as well!!

Happy Birthday to Ed (Senior and Poppy).
I remember the day you started in the brigade Ed. I also remember you nearly punched me for a one-liner in the car on the way to Glenrothes 7's!!

Can you not at least have a wee swallie of Irn Bru with your chip supper?

Thanks all - even Porty who has been known to lobone liners my way meriting a good slap!
Marya, I have discovered from doc that I CAN drink booze with my tablets

What a relief. [and anyway I'm allergic to colourant in Irn Bru (and traditional Lucozade)!!]
PS Still off the fags after 8 months, but get the very occasional craving for a Rothmans (don't know why, as I have not had one in years!

)
Bellybabe, thank you very much for your virtual present. That was exciting and rather lovely!

Poppy, that is absolutely magnificent. Well done. You should be proud of yourself as that is no easy achievement.

PoP, it's been remarkably easy, for some reason! Mr Poppy/El Presidente is just a few weeks behind me .... and he's taken to going to the gym recently to get fit for NZ!!
PS A 'copter has just circled overhead. I think it was probably Epykat who is so desperate to find out what's doin' in Portobello while her PC is out of action she's buzzing over our houses to peer in!!

Have had nice day especially this nice sunny evening. Mr Poppy took me and Pa Poppy to Dunbar [not NB as mentioned above

] for fish suppers which we ate down at the harbour in the sun.
Now sipping some vino in sunny Joppa-ish!!

Happy birthday Poppy. I'm starting to think that maybe we need some kind of birthday book feature on the forum. How about a mod wangi?

I'm sure we could mod the mod, so that you got the popup on your birthday but it just reads 'Over 21'

Cool! Thanks! Been an interesting one. I've been taking care of the 'invalid' one plus off spring, plus fielding a phone call from my mother wishing me happy birthday for the first time in 3 years. Definitely need that emoticion with the pint glasses chinking. In fact the real thing would be even better.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADA
Here's your presents and cake. You do realise that you're the only POLer that has 2 birthday threads started in their honour, don't you?

Yeah, but I had to do something to counter the ridiculous assertion that I seek attention. What better way then, but to loudly proclaim it's falseness to as many people as possible, whilst giving me the opportunity to wish myself a happy birthday?

As one of the three amigos, as we have been christened by Porty, may I wish you a happy birthday. Do you know that you share a birthday with Yasser Arafat and my dad?

Porty thinks your dad IS Yasser Arafat!! Anyway, don't forget the Queen Mother - I have tried to, but she still haunts me.

Oops! Forgot about the Queen Mum. An eclectic group of people and all Leo's.
Now that could be a fun game, trying to guess people's signs (who have not declared their date of birth).
