Hope you all had a good Christmas, and best wishes for 2011 from Talk Porty!
Had a nice stroll along the Prom last night for the bells - bonfires and Chinese lanterns galore! Nice of somebody to pull in a jack-up drilling rig into Burntisland yesterday and light it up like a Christmas tree for some extra sparkle across the Forth.

Happy new year! I was on the sand for the bells, sitting by the wee Bellfield St bonfire. Good view of the fireworks and lanterns - especially the ones that travelled horizontally instead of vertically

Happy New Year to you all. I reckon if there was a prize for the most exotic posting location, Makaveli would get it!Sandra wrote:Happy New Year everyone.

We saw 2011 in down on the Prom too. Started off watching The Espy's fireworks for the bells and then made our way along to Bellfield Street, but only met Seanie out of all the TP regulars. I nearly didn't recognise him at first, because he didn't have shorts on.
Can't believe we didn't spot you Rapunzell! We were responsible for two of the horizontal sky lanterns. There was an enterprising chap selling them from a big cardboard box. Fortunately, we only bought three, because they were useless!
