elementary food hygiene certificate

Post by rapunzell » 12 Nov 2009, 00:35

I've been looking for a (very) short day course to get this certificate in order to be allowed to provide cakes/ chocs occasionally for fundraising events without being deemed a potential health-hazard.

Surrounding counties offer free courses but in Eburgh they all seem to cost £50 to £100. Does anyone know of a free one in the city, or even a Portobello-based paying one?

Ta muchly :)

Try Here:

http://www.food.gov.uk/foodindustry/

Ask them what courses/certificates you need, then google on those.

I'd be keen to see how you get on as there is a possibility of me making sausages soon and if I get reasonable results (and I enjoy it) I might start up an online charcuterie.
