Housing crisis - is Channel 4 to blame?

Post by Dadaist » 20 Jun 2007, 12:20

Are the problems in the UK housing market due to Channel 4?

It used to be that you got a mortgage, bought a house and then lived in it while you payed off the mortgage.

These days we're all supposed to buy to let, renovate and sell for a profit, come up with amazing designs for every last scrap of land, expand everything, and also invest in overseas property.

What percentage of the increase in UK house prices can be blamed on Channel 4 ?

There's no doubt that the supply of properties can't keep up with demand in many parts of the country, pushing up prices.

All these property programmes probably add fuel to the fire. Personally, I find Sarah's tips more impressive than Amanda's.

Can we ladies have a pic of the rather charming Kevin off Grand Designs please?

In fact Sarah has recently gone on record saying, that if there was one thing she could do to change herself, it would be to reduce the size of her tips. 8)

Never mind Kirstie, here's her sister Sofie....

Phowar, or whatever it is you guys say.

Don't you think, if you can pull your attentions up to face level, that she looks like a morph of her sister and Amanda Lamb from your first post?

How about a pic of Phil, Dada. Preferably bare chested. Not that I didn't appreciate the pic of Arthur.

Thank you.
