Polling station tonight

Post by rapunzell » 04 Jun 2009, 16:55

Due to a clerical cock-up I have no postal vote, so am hoping to get along to the Town Hall tonight. Is there anyone up Joppa-ish end of town also heading down who could give me a lift..? 8)

Homer also warned me that there was no one else there when he voted earlier tonight, but when I voted at 9 o'clock I met a steady stream of folk exiting as I went in.

Additionally, by the time I had folded my voting paper the requisite number of times, there was a queue building up behind me at the ballot box! :D

Still suspect ,though, from the mutterings of the poll clerks, that it was a very poor turnout.

It was pretty busy up here when we went about 9pm. Mr E got a dirty look from the clerk for asking me out loud if I'd voted for the happy clappies
