I heard Dollar had snow lying this am
It was snowing heavily in Loanhead as I rummaged aroung in mum's shed.
Lots of footprints in the snow as I went back and forwards
Oh the fun of the heavy traffic past Ikea!
Everything that goes on the A702 is having to go via the A701, and there's roadworks on Burdiehouse Rd and Lang Loan
There were police doing points duty at the Straiton park and ride junction, the roundabout at the bypasss junction was almost gridlocked
All in the snow!

come to think of it I could have been mistakenEpykat wrote:Roadworks? Are you sure?SoupDragon wrote:....and there's roadworks.....
They wouldn't disrupt our fair city by digging it up willy nilly
would they?
must have been an alien landing site, well where else would they get M&S Sainsbury and Ikea together?
Severe weather warning on CEC Corporate websitePorty wrote:It feel like its going to snow,
There's also http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ ... ather.html to keep one up to date...click on the weather warning icon thingy at the top right.
Well, here in snowy Penicuik I feel like I'm in the eye of a storm. Even although the A702 has been closed due to a burst water main, I've been arriving at my work earlier than usual. Others have taken 2-3 hours to make a journey that usually takes an hour. However, having had a few drinks I'm not optimistic that I'll wake up early enough tomorrow to continue my run of good fortune
Anyway, if the weather turns out to be as bad as the forecast predicts I might have the perfect excuse for a duvet day

Why be scared????
Think there's the odd Goldeneye in amongst that lot somewhere!!!Poppy wrote:Feeling cold just looking at your pics, Spidey! I love the fact there's so many of my top ducks there ("Tufties"). There's a few who hang about The Shore* at Leith but I've not seen so many together for a while.
*I saw a Goldeneye there last week!
For long enough it was just Mallards, Coots and Swans but now there's quite a variety of birds on the loch. ( including cormorants!)
Why be scared????
There were actually two of them! They followed us for a wee while,( Probably hoping for something to eat!!) So I was lucky enough to get a few pics! Got that little one as my " wallpaper" now as he/ she's so pretty!Marya wrote:I love the wee robin, with his feathers all puffed up.
Shame the snow disappeared so quickly. I'm pinning all my hopes on the BBC forecast, which is promises a light dusting tonight.
No snow today Marya!!!
Why be scared????
