A number of bicycles have been stolen in the Portobello area in recent weeks, including a dirt bike belonging to my son. Around half a million bikes are stolen in the UK every year.

No Just Portobello, where I work comes under Leith Polis station and the NAU (Neighbourhood Action Unit) cop and the CBO (Community Beat Officer) who come into ma office for a coffee and/or a bleather every week were putting out the feelers so to speak for some local intel due to a rise in the Leith area.Bob Jefferson wrote:A number of bicycles have been stolen in the Portobello area in recent weeks, including a dirt bike belonging to my son. Though it did make me laugh when a female in the group announced that she recently had her bike stolen from her common stair, poor lass!
