Do any of you know where I could get a Chihuahua (short coat) or a minature Yorkie?
I'm seriously thinking about it. I'm still trying to convice Mr. BM on the subject though

I couldn't even find a Scottish breeders site for them.

A friend of mines niece breeds Chihuahuas so I could ask if she has any for sale, I know she has pups just now but not sure if they are spoken for. She used to live in Fife but has recently moved house and I'm not sure where that is. On saying that I think the pups are still at her Mums house which is near Glenrothes or maybe it's Dunfermline............round about there somewhere anyway

Try Gumtree too they have puppies for sale.

I'm afraid they often are very expensive. I've seen them advertised for around £900-£1,000 plus

You could always try Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home - you'd be amazed at the pedigrees they get in.

Think you might have a job on your hands!!!

Can you remember when I convinced you to buy a couple of rats and Mr. BM was not amused and thought I was a bad influence????!!!!

Mind you rats are almost the same size as the dogs you want!!!!

There are great danes at the kennels where my son works needing a loving home!!! Now I'm sure Mr. BM would love one of them!!!!

I forgot about the rats. He was a grumpy old thing that day wasn't he.

I've been looking at the prices and I think it might have to wait as far as a Chihuahua's concerned. Mind you I could always bump of Mr. BM and buy one with the insurance money.

I'm not in a rush and am looking into everything before I make a commitment. I've decided that either of those two breeds are ideal for a small house. It's just deciding if I really want to commit to the responsabilty now.

Aagh! welll that's the thousand dollar question

I bought them from an American company on ebay. They are a solid frame covered in goat hair. I was pleased when they arrived this morning. They are just the right size too. The yorkie is the same size as the one my late Aunt had and I think the chihuahua is life size too.
