Anyone else going to /been to Gardening Scotland this week-end?.........Epykat ??
I was there today and what a brilliant day it was :D good weather, good company, good food and wonderful plants galore.
The pallet gardens were good, Portobello High School and Towerbank Primary both had entries, can't remember what the High School got but Towerbank got a silver gilt medal so well done to them :D Pam and the kids done good

Talking of gardens, we went to Manderston today. Unplanned, but we wanted to get out of the wet! It's well worth a visit.

Anyway, encouraged by Lord Palmer himself, we went to view the Woodland Garden and were glad that we did:

Note the raindrops on the lens!

One tree had these lovely flowers. Anyone know what it is?

We visited Gore Glen for the first time. It was rather wet so we didn't hang around too long.

While we're on the subject of unidentified flowers, can anyone help me with this one?

Some kind person left me a couple of plants by my allotment hut. So far I've identified neither the flower nor my mystery benefactor.

Marya, it's an aquiligia, sometimes known as columbine. I have a few different ones in my garden.

Looks like I'm the only one who's never seen it before! It's really pretty and most unusual. Granny's bonnet, eh? Hope that isn't a comment from my mystery benefactor!
