Two Voices - an exhibition of photographs by blind Photographer,
Rosita McKenzie returns to Edinburgh!
The highly celebrated Two Voices Exhibition of botanical photographs created by Rosita McKenzie in 2006, opens at the Portobello Community Centre, 3 Adelphi Grove, Portobello, Edinburgh EH15 1AP on Saturday, 12th January until Saturday, 2nd February, 2008.
These unique and intriguing photographs, depicting plants of the live collection of the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, open up the world of botanic photography to everyone with the use of tactile imagery and audio description!
So, if you missed the original Show at Inverleith House and whether you are visually impaired or fully-sighted you are once again invited to experience this collection of extraordinary photographs and their inspired, tactile interpretations.
Rosita is also providing an Artist’s Talk on Saturday, 19th January, 2008, commencing at 2.30pm at the Portobello Community Centre. So if you want to find out just how ‘blind photography’ works and why it is such an exciting and innovative development in contemporary visual arts practice, you should come along.
Admission to Temptation Denied and Artist’s Talk is entirely free! Don’t miss it!

Put the details of this exhibition up on Porty.org and thought it pretty unusual as the photographer is blind.

Well the 'online exhibition' ended up being a short film, soon to be unveiled on Portobelly Telly once I sort out the latest aspect ratio problem.
