Mike Bridgman - off topic posts

Post by BeachBum » 05 Dec 2007, 22:44

Yes, I couldnt recall when exactly when the CC meetings were so I just went with a random occurance, however I dont believe it detracts from the point I made.

I wish I had the time to point out everyones mistakes.

Admin: these off-topic posts moved from the Mike Bridgman thread, which has been moved to Portobello Matters.

Maybe Cllr Bridgeman employs the same approach and just turns up on a day which takes his fancy?

You certainly sound a very busy man Michael, ( which probably explains why you didn't read my post on your PCC thread letting you know when meetings are held), however, I'm a woman so multi-tasking comes easy.

You make a very curious assumption Marya.

Why would you think I did not read your post? I mentioned in an earlier post this evening that I could not recall when the CC meetings were held, that would imply that I knew at one point and couldnt remember, which is different from not knowing in the first place. I did actually read your posting, I simply could not recall it at the time, however, the point I was putting accross in the comment was still made, it was hardly detracted from enough that the meaning would have been lost.

Err...because the only other possibility (which, to my way of thinking, would be more bizarre!) was that you had read my post on the Tue night and by the Wed morning you couldn't remember anything about what it said or where it could be found. Naturally, I thought it more likely you just hadn't read it.

As for my reason for pointing out your mistake? Well, you haven't been able to attend any of the CC meetings as yet Michael and I didn't want you (or any other interested person out there) missing out on the next meeting through ignorance.

Have you had a reply from Cllr Bridgman yet?

Bizarre as it may sound I did indeed read your post, and was unable to recall it when I made my post about Cllr Bridgman. However, I would say that why I would have remembered it anyways is anyones guess. After all its marked in my diary for the next meeting. Surely thats the point of diarys? so you dnt have to remember evertthing that you put in it! Could you imagine a poor doctors receptionist having to remember all the appointments, I doubt she could do it, but her trusty diary saves her from having to fill her head with such useless information!

A 'trusty diary'? What a novel thought. Maybe I'll get one for Christmas and then I can just write things down and empty my head (especially of 'useless bits of information').

You seem to have forgotten my question so I'll try again. Have you and Cllr Bridgman had a chance to discuss non-attendance at CC meetings yet?

I did not forget, I chose not to address your question.

This is for you Michael Traill. I rarely look at Porty On-line any more and when I do, I glance at the G&TT part to remind myself why. I hope you make it along to the next CC meeting in January and I am pleased to inform you that it is free of the nit-picking and point scoring you will find on this forum. The reason for this is quite simple; people have to speak to each other face-to-face.

Excellent nit-picking and a point well scored.

It just goes to show how long ago it was that I last looked as I didn't notice, and don't really care, that the name has changed. I wonder what it will be called next time I log in? Thank you Marya and Bob for proving me right. How predictable.
Prom cycling for all.
