Yup, The Tyre Man at the Wisp - must have been there for over thirty years. Vanished, only some scorch marks left on the grass. A national land mark.

I went by there today, partly curious, partly to avoid the bypass chaos.
The tyre man is no longer there!
Thought the disappearance of a monument like that would have been reported in the Evening News!
Where did it go?
Was it set on fire?
Is it coincidence that 2 cottages are for sale there at Cloverfoot?

I mind coming past there years ago, only dozily awake and thinking it was some sort of alien. Gave me a fright!
( I wasn't the driver I hasten to add )

I did a brief search in the EN archive, but no joy..but I imagine the "scorch marks" are a clue, sadly!
